I came here with a friend to help her pick out lighting for her home. She needs overhead lighting for her bedroom, kitchen, and a fan/light combo for her sunroom. I happily joined to live vicariously through her life successes.And damn! I was blown away by how many beautiful fixtures there are! There was so much that was beyond my imagination. There were modern, vintage, mid-century, and luxury lights. Our style is mid-century modern, and we picked out a few that fit that aesthetic. Though, I would say there were just a few lights in the style. They were also somewhat limited on lighted overhead fan choices.But the best part was the customer service. We were able to build a "wish list" with an associate, where every item that piqued our interested was populated under her new account. There, you can review all of the details and customizations (like color, type of lighting, finish etc). There also seemed to be a lot on sale which was a treat!

This store is fantastic. My husband and I made a lighting purchase a couple of years ago and moved to Washington state shortly after the purchase. Some of the light fixture hardware was lost during the move and I reached out to Muska Lighting almost 1.5 years after the purchase to ask if they could help us replace the hardware. They found what we needed and coordinated the shipping of the replacement hardware at no extra cost. Amazing customer service and great products. I highly recommend this store.

The first encounter was when I went in and the sales person was obviously a smoker, as you could smell it. He worked hard at helping me, and even printed off somethings, but I ultimately didn't buy, as it was all too expensive and not quite right. The second encounter was when I called to ask if they had any light fixtures in stock that had chain long enough for a 12 ft dining ceiling that I could come in, buy, and take home same day, or if that type of thing was special order only. The woman had a snobby,, "you're stupid" voice as she told me that there are thousands of light fixtures to choose from. That wasn't my question, so I rephrased and asked if they had lights in stock that I could buy and take home same day. She said they have a select few in stock, but it was best to come in and work with a sales person. (Tired, 'You are wasting my time' tone.) At 10am, I expected a more up-beat, friendly voice. Yeah, it might have been a stupid question, but I needed to know if it was worth my time to rush over after work, only to be told you don't have anything in stock. The salespeople at Creative are much friendlier and I'll be buying from them.

Probably the most bizarre experience that we have had in a store. My wife and I stopped in at Muska looking to replace all of the light fixtures on our main level. We spent a half hour slowly walking through the entire store looking at the light selection. There were four employees sitting at their desks, two somewhat on their computers, two busy looking at something on their personal phones. None of them were helping another customer. No one said "hi" as we walked by each of their desks nor asked if we needed any help. Needless to say, we left and understandably will be going through a competitor whose staff was pleasant and immediately helpful.

My husband and I worked with Alex Bah and he was great!! This was not our first store in looking at lights, so we had a pretty good idea about what we liked. However, he really helped us hone in on fixtures that would work in our new kitchen (bringing in photos helps). He also spent a lot of time helping us understand about kelvins and showing us the differences between 2700 up to 5000 (both in fixtures and in tape lighting). We were doubting some earlier decisions but he was very reassuring and showed why certain kelvins are better for certain work areas (even though we hadn't purchased the discs from him). He has good energy and was not at all put out that we didn't buy anything. In fact, he insisted that we go home and test out the potential size of the fixture with cardboard to see if it would work over our small table. Ask for Alex!The collection was really impressive too!

I recently contacted Muska lighting because a specialty LED bulb for a fixture we bought from them in 2013 had failed. I was put in touch with Alex, who turned out to be one of the most pleasant and helpful customer service representatives I've ever dealt with. Alex had to do quite a bit of research to track down the bulb manufacturer and confirm what we needed for a replacement. His follow-up on our issue was outstanding. Above and beyond the customer service experience I've had at many other places!Based on this experience (as well as our previous purchasing experience) I would definitely recommend Muska Lighting.

WHATEVER YOU DO READ THE FINE PRINT AND DONT RELY ON THE STAFF OR ONLINE UPFRONT WORDING TO EXPLAIN THEIR RESTOCKING FEES OF 25%! I was encouraged to order online by a clerk when in the store who never mentioned the fees. I placed an online order and did not care for the look of English Nickel returned all product to the store and they charged me $171!! AND only refund by check in the mail vs credit back on credit card. Manager unwilling to work with me with restocking fee regardless of intent to order new lights. HORRIBLE customer service

Our first visit to Muska (Roseville) was to only look - no purchasing. Ginger met with us, and even though she knew she would not make a sale that day, she went above and beyond to work with us.So...we returned several weeks later, ready to purchase. Ginger offered great options, but was never pushy. We are doing a total "gut" of our lakehome, so we ordered quite a few lighting items from her, in great part due to her knowledge and opinions.A couple of months later, we had three more rooms, plus exterior in need of lighting. I sent Ginger photos of our space ahead of time, and when we arrived, she had many options for us ready to discuss.Pricing was competitive, customer service via Ginger was exemplary.Highly recommend!cjc
