Muddy Cow

It took me a long while to try the Muddy Cow but glad I eventually did! They always have 2 for 1s which ends up being a great deal! And that's the reason we visited there more frequently. But when we were there, we did try some food too. I will say, most of the food we ordered was decent, nothing to write home about but I was very happy to find chicken wings that I really enjoyed there! I want to say the flavor was whiskey something, because when my husband chose that flavor I was like meh, fine. But yum! So glad he did choose that flavor! In reviews I saw that they have half off wings nights, so we will be back!

Muddy Cow is a wonderful place to kick back with quality drinks, especially if you're able to be served by Neena. 2-4-1's all day, wide selection of beer and spirits, and tasty appetizers. The crowd is casual, staff are friendly and overall atmosphere is welcoming.

First time dining here. Great food, great service, basically happy hour all day, serious bingo prizes, fun atmosphere. Great for children. Has cheese balls for free instead of popcorn...only regret is not coming here sooner. Definitely one of my favorite places in town and don't know why it's not at least 4.5 stars.

A cozy place to get a drink and some finger foods. Not too loud and not too crowded.Stay far far away from the American Poutine, it was so salty my group only tried a little. By the time we left it was almost entire order left, told the waitress and even she agreed the poutines are salty. Burgers were only ok, they put so much sauce that it made the bottom bun super soggy. Chicken wild rice soup wasn't bad, it was good to have on a rainy chilly day. They do have all day 2 for 1 on beers but I'm not a drinker.Service was slow on the slower side. Our waitress didn't check back on us after we got our food. We didn't see any advertisement but on Thursdays they have 1/2 priced wings.

We visited on a Sunday at lunchtime and had a just about perfect restaurant visit. Extraordinarily good food, great service on the patio, everything came out in good time--really, as newcomers to the area, this was the kind of lunch that encourages us to come back repeatedly. Everything was delicious, but the absolute stand-out was the poutine.

Regarding your Cottage Grove location, there is an ongoing problem with the smoking situation on the outdoor space/patio. There have always been NO SMOKING signs posted on all sides, but they are being ignored on a regular basis. In fact, there are even ashtrays on several tables. Why? Why is the policy not being enforced. I am allergic to smoke and was promised the patio is now all non smoking, but again today, I saw two people smoking on the patio on a windy evening as the wind blew their smoke toward my table. I will stop being a customer until this improves. Either remove the signs, or enforce them. At least then I will know it is smoking and I won't sit out there. This is very unfair to the customers to have a policy that is being ignored by not only selfish customers but the staff/managers who let it continue.

The free cheese puffs are great and drinks are generous; however we did get food poisoning there once. But have successfully eaten there a few times. Great impossible burger. Pizza is quite greasy and not that great. So really mixed review.

To add the Pizza Burger is frozen shite patty covered in marinara sauce. Avoid at all cost. Won't be back

Should have heeded the low reviews. A loud, potty mouthed group smoking on the patio Sunday afternoon- not good for a 'family friendly' patio. I think the smokers are connected with the restaurant, so I expect this behavior is common . The food was innovative but only ok.We won't be going back.

Would like to comment on the three employees that worked this evening. Aubrey was our waitress and she was very attentive constantly checking to see if we needed anything. She was excellent!We also noticed Levi hustling to all his tables. He was not our waiter, but could not help observe his attention to his customers.Lastly, the host (cannot remember his name) but he was amazing. This young man opened the door when we arrived and never stopped moving all evening. He was clearing tables and washing everything down. You are fortunate to have these employees. All three of them showed an excellent work ethic and very dedicated to their jobs. The food was great, but the service made our evening most enjoyable! Thank you!Becky & John Kirby
