Been a minute since I'd been to the Po' Boy shop and having chef Dan from Little Tijuana doing a popup was the perfect excuse. The bartender is usually the server on this side of the house. He's always extremely welcoming, helpful, and makes a stiff drink. Fri-Sun they shop runs a "backdoor burger bar" after the normal po' boy shop house and you know I had to get the fried cauliflower. The dish is, more or less, the same as the one from Little Tijuana so I had to get it. This version seemed to have been made a bit more "edina" by removing a lot of the spicy ginger flavor from the original that I love so much. It was still really good, though. Perfectly tempura'd florets with kewpie and a sweet soy-based sauce like hoisin. I'd get it again (I always do) but recommend getting the full Little T's experience if you get the chance

Hey Travoodies Hey Finally I tried it ... They close by 3p and I got there in time because I usually miss them. Small little place packed with some goodness. Super cute waitress who is there everyday Saturday; I forgot her name. If it's get packed there, I can see the wait being crazy. I went for the boudin balls of course and the shrimp poboy. I won't lie the poboy was good but what made it amazing is the lemon aioli that I added to it. The boudin balls were chicken and actually tasty. I give it 4 out 5 and I will definitely try again.

This was one of the best places I have ever been to! The restaurant is behind Mr. Paul's supper club, in the alleyway, and is only open on select weekends. We went for the Oktoberfest menu and I loved all the items on the list! I had the beer cheese burger and it was amazing. The whole place was super festive for a Louisiana Styled Po boy spot and overall just made me super happy! The server was also extremely friendly and attentive. She even came out with a shot of their liqueur for us to try! I will always look back at this experience and have only positive things to say!

As someone who goes to NOLA several times a year we were craving some good southern food! I was so excited when Yelp suggested Mr Paul's Po' Boys and Jams! A little hidden but totally worth it. It should be noted that this is really a bar setting and not great for a group. Our party of 5+ baby found it hard to fit in there with others there on a Saturday afternoon. There is about 8 bar seats and three high-tops with two chairs each.We ordered so much food:-Shrimp po'boys ($15) - Etouffee on a po'boy was messy but yummy! This is a two person sandwich but reheats nicely in the airfryer.-PB&J po'boy ($12)- this had a lot of raw batter happening. For me it was a miss, but if it was cooked all the way through it would've been good. This isn't a Jiff and Smuckers PB&J- crushed peanut butter and real jam. -Boudin balls ($9)- a little spicy but good, plenty to share with a group.-Pimento Cheese ($8)- Great amount for sharing and highly recommend. -crinkle cut fries ($6)- pretty basic but one side will be good for two people-Beignets ($6)- these are (in my opinion) not super traditional. I don't think I would get them again. -Hurricane ($15)- woof. If you are looking for a bright red Hawaiian punch style hurricane do not order this. This is for a more mature audience lol. I liked it!-Maybach Cosmo ($17)- If you like cosmos look no further!-French 75 ($14)- pretty standard, would order again. -Slim's Primm's ($10)- a lot going on here but it was decent. Love an not boozy option.Overall the food was good and service alone gets a 10/10! Check this place out!

Fun casual, colorful place. Had a great shrimp po' boy - great bread that was crisp, soft and chewy, piled high with a ton of perfectly fried shrimp. Asked for remoulade and little hot sauce to give it a little more kick. Service was great - friendly and fast. Definitely going back to try the other sandwiches!Tip: only open for lunch, easy free parking in garages

From the hurricane to the po boys it was the most fun and pleasant experience we've had in years! I had the pnut butter and jelly po boy baked and topped with powder sugar. It was a Saturday and my wife and I were looking for our "Saturday new lunch restaurant." We had been watching the hype of this place for the last few months, and then it finally opened.Located near the 50th and France intersection, it is in an alleyway type place and there is a small bar you can sit down at and order your food. Our server took my order of an oyster po' boy and it came out pretty fast. He was super nice and we got to talking, Good guy.I saw some other po' boys, like the shrimp one and they were overflowing with goodness. Mine came out and it had about 7 oysters on it, not bad, since I know oysters are on the pricier side. The French roll was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and the oysters were cooked perfectly. Lots of good veggies and sauce and it is more than filling. I have had po' boys in New Orleans, and while not as great as those, these are pretty darn delicious. I should have added some hot sauce to mine, for a little kick, I think they had 2 or three available at the counter. No beer on tap that I saw, but that can be fixed. Great service and good food is all fine by me. Give it a shot!

Cute place, friendly staff, but not quite a replicated New Orleans experience. Just a tiny bit short on execution and flavors. Not pictured are the beignets which I found smallish and dense whereas at Cafe Du Monde they are much airer and lighter.
