MoonShine Bar and Grill

Legit delicious!! I file this under hole-in-the-wall or dive-bar - and those terms aren't derogatory in the least! This is on the edge of "the middle of nowhere" (unless of course you're one of the fine folks that lives nearby). But disregard all of that - the service and the FOOD were both top notch!Different daily specials every day (see the picture) and the regular menu is HUGE!Hubby had a Peanut Butter and Jalapeño Jam burger - big 1/2 pounder - with fresh fries. I thought the fries were a little soggy (literally the only negative) but they were deliciously seasoned. I had a shaved beef with Au Jus. Now I know that sounds dull but it wasn't! The roll was super-soft but lightly toasted with a buttery taste and the beef (I'm told by the VERY fabulous waitress) is sliced from their weekly prime-rib special. I had it with a slide of slaw and GOOD LORD they actually know how to make excellent slaw! Again - same fabulous waitress says that the dressing is house-made. It really, REALLY was good. Add three tap beers and our lunch was a sweet $33. I wish we had an easier more frequent reason to stop because the menu has me intrigued! I definitely recommend it!

Don't waste your money!! The owner runs the place horribly. She was very rude to my friend after she returned her burger because it was raw and got back a charred burger that wasn't edible. They wouldn't even comp the burger she couldn't eat. She told my friends that they complain too much. In response to Mike's comment:I clearly had all the facts because I was there. I saw the raw burger my friend received and then the charred one they gave her in response. I also saw the bill for the entire burger and fries, in which she only ate the fries because they could not provide her edible food. The response from the owner was your table complains too much. This happened more than once and I have only come a few times. I only responded on social media because of the rude response from the owner. That is totally uncalled for and I won't be coming back and I hope to save another customer from being treated this way.

First of all, we had several questions about the menu and our serve did not know one of the answers. She had to go back and ask the cook every time. My husband ordered the pork schnitzel, the server came back five minutes later to say they were out. I ordered the spicy fried shrimp. It came with a roll and no butter. The shrimp looked like tadpoles covered in batter. I had to ask for tartar sauce. However, I do have to say that they were tasty. We asked for a check and of course it came without a pen for us to sign. We were there mid afternoon on a Saturday and were the only customers eating. You would think a 4 1/2 star restaurant would have customers always. When we are in a town that we are not familiar with we always bring up yelp and always go for the five star restaurants. We got stung this time

Great service, the waitress was amazing Great atmosphere, my shy daughter quite contentAwesome food! The wanton tacos are amazing, a bit spicy if your not ready tho.Good price. Rib basket 9nly five bucks! Wow... I'm stuffed and smiling!

This has become my favorite place in Princeton. Wing Wednesday is awesome! Hand pressed Angus burgers with fresh cut fries! Oh and the onion rings are tasty!Can't wait to go back and try something different next time! Maybe the peanut butter and pepper jelly burger!!!! Princeton has needed something like this!

Awesome burger, fries, and wings. Order wings extra crispy. Off the beaten path but well worth it

We had the broasted chicken. Came out piping hot and juicy. It was served with tots or fries and coleslaw. All very tasty. Prices were very reasonable. Friendly owner.

Great service and food. I go here for all occasions and highly recommend the chicken fried steak.

Just awful. We received our beverages in a timely fashion. Food came out, we had no silverware. That was finally brought. The food was cold, my friends omelette was undercooked (the eggs were still runny). All of this could have been remidied had the owner/"server" even checked back with us to see if everything was ok. She finally came back to us just to hand us our checks, no "how was everything?", or anything like that. Even with all the food left on all our plates, there was never an ask if anything was wrong with the food. Such a disappointment.

Was not impressed tonight at Moonshine. Usually my husband and I will get the deal pizzas on Thursday nights when we do go here. I decided to try something different tonight. I ordered the chicken burrito. What I got was a 5" cold tortilla wrapped around lettuce with some shredded cheese on top - this was cold too, some sad chips thrown on the plate, and a tablespoon sized plastic container of sour cream and one of salsa. Guys - this is called a wrap. This is not a burrito!! I didn't even see chicken in it! I cut into it, and it was cold - not even WARM! A burrito is hot and smothered in sauce, or at least has a yummy appearance with melted cheese. Highly disappointed. I am not afraid to send back food to the kitchen when it is less than what I expected. That was certainly not worth the $10 it cost. At least I wasn't charged for it. Sorry, but this was not one of your staff's shining moment nights! I gave it back to the server and watched my husband eat his pizza. He gulped it down in about 5 minutes, went to the bar to pay the tab, and we left. I went home and ate a cheese stick and leftover microwaved pork medallions - WAY warmer than the so-called burrito I ordered. Sad I took the time to go here tonight.
