I strongly revommend Ming's Garden over other Chinese Takeouts in Plymouth Minnesota. Order online and pickup. Fast and accurate orders. The person at the counter is always helpful. The food is better than other stores around Plymouth MN. The reason is in the sweet sauce that is made naturally from sugar as we don't taste high fructose corn syrup in the sauce. It is healthier and more natural. Why it is important? The glossy long-life high viscosity thing high that is called fructose corn syrup is ultra processed food that causes indigestion and weight gain. It's added in many dishes like sesame chicken or general tso every where in cheap grocery store Chinese takeouts (like Hyvee) and many cheap restaurants I cannot say the name in Plymouth. The ultra processed sauce stays fresh for long as if it never stale and the color is bright and glossy and it taste the same regardless of whether it is added to general tso, orange chicken, sesame Chicken or other dishes! I recognize that Ming's Garden restaurant is NOT using cheap ultra processed sauce. As I am sensitive to high fructose corn syrup and other ultra processed sauce, I can digest the food from Ming's Garden without any digestive problem. The sauce tastes more like cane sugar and it looks natural. I believe it's important for people to know and recognize their effort. So I posted this review. I hope the restaurant stays... it's a no frill restaurant so grab food and go!

Many moons ago I used to come here for the buffet. Today I opted for take out and when I arrived to pick up there was absolutely no one dining in. I thought that was odd given I picked up my food at 6:15pm. My food was ready as soon as I arrived and was your typical Chinese takeout. Nothing too mind blowing but not the worst. My shrimp egg foo young was odd in the shrimp was in the gravy and not the egg patty. Parking is plentiful as it's it a large strip mall. The ambiance was very dated and definitely could use an update.

I love this place. The sesame chicken and chow fun are very good, best in our area for sure. The staff is always friendly and it's a nice small establishment. Only Chinese food we order from around here.

Great quick Chinese food. Not much to look at but parking is easy, and take away is where it's at. Full menu of the Chinese dishes you know and love. The menu is big but it's not clear what comes with dishes. We over ordered to make sure we had the fried rice and crab rangoons we couldn't live without. We got a lot of each for two people to eat... great local spot, worth a try!

Orange chicken was terrible - the meat was practically inedible with how hard and chewy it was. Chicken fried rice and cream cheese wontons were decent but a disappointing, expensive Chinese food option.

20+ year customer, no major complaints until this evening. Spring rolls were black and brown and tasteless; chow mein ordered cooked to order was pasty, mushy and gluelike. Rice excessively dry, clearly leftover or out for hours; no chicken in chow mein or lo mein. Worst meal ever from this restaurant. Note restaurant was empty at time of order!

Food hit the spot when I was hungry but not good enough to merit a return. Too bad, I always like to help the privately owned businesses first.

very rude they forgot a chicken fried rice and I noticed once I got back home 30 mins away. so I called to just have them refund me for the fried rice and they told me there was nothing they can do about it. terrible customer service. Never would they get my business again.

I had heard good things about this place, but it was just so-so. I'd give it a 2.5. The Szechuan dumplings were 90% noodle and 10% filling and the sauce was sour, not spicy. I ate a couple and threw away the rest of them. The House Special Chow Fun was pricy compared to other take-out Chinese places, but it is typically one of my favorite dishes elsewhere. It was ok here (nothing I would actively seek-out again, though). Plus, the portion for the price was small, and it was lacking in sauce and seasoning. Fortunately, I have both Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce at home. Adding those made the chow fun much better. The restaurant itself was empty and smelled musty. The carpet was stained, and it looked as if the restaurant wasn't well kept. If I had just walked in without actively seeking it out, I must admit that I would've walked out before ordering. The hostess was very polite, and the service was quick (as the only customer it should have been), it's a shame the food wasn't better. For those seeking a cheaper and tastier option, I highly recommend China Moon in Uptown or Joy Luck in Camden. Or just go to a higher-end sit-down option like Yangtze, Pagoda, or Mandarin KItchen.

Ming's used to be our go-to for great Chinese food, but they must be under new management now. The food tastes differently, when there's a taste, it's not hot (temperature) like it used to be, some of the old standards have been removed from the menu and some items are dry and taste like they're 2-days old and just warmed in a microwave. Very disappointing. We spent $62.95 on takeout that we could hardly eat.
