Mimi's Cafe

A simple menu but powerful experience! We were out for a stroll downtown Litchfield MN and Mimi's Cafe caught our eye.It was that classic big window that lured us in to have some coffee and a pastry.Upon entrance my daughter and I could not believe the Decor of the place.The old style ceiling,wooden booths and lighting.It all felt so comfy.The only thing missing...a nice fireplace(unless we missed it) .We felt good enough to put on some Pjs and sip our morning coffee!Back to reality we skipped the pjs and got some food in us after our walk.I ordered the eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes.This was a solid breakfast.The hollandaise sauce was superb! The ham...fried to perfection.The pouched egg...well made!.The coffee was nice and hot and it kept coming!My daughter got the Chicken Panini and said it was really good.Bethany(our server) did a good job hosting.The chai tea was better than any of the franchise stuff...with a hint of cinnamon!Parking is on the street.Bethany was the only one serving...so there were a few bottlenecks.However,her personality,the food and the comfiness of the place will bring us back!

Looking for a place for breakfast driving through Litchfield and we saw that Mimi's café was now open again. All I can say was this place was great. We had the Eggs Benedict and the Biscuits and Gravy. The biscuits were out of the world along with the potatoes.Coffee was great and the service great! we will be back on our next trip though Litchfield.

First time visiting this coffee shop and cafe and I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Litchfield. The historic building is awesome with the coffee shop's previous renovations on par with its unique character.And if enjoying an awesome iced coffee in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere isn't enough, the staff are even better!There's plenty of room in the main area with a separate room for gatherings.You have to experience the homemade caramels, caramel rolls, and scones!

The first time we tried to get in it was early in a Friday morning & they were full! Reservations were no longer being excepted for that day. That's a good sign! Anyway, when we got back to the hotel I called to make reservations for Saturday morning. The manager said all she had available was 8 am. I booked us for 6 people. We were not disappointed! The prices were more than reasonable. The food was amazing & the portions were enormous. We had eggs Benedict, biscuits & gravy and blueberry pancakes. No disappointments here. So, the next day I called to make reservations for 8 to bring my aunt & uncle. The manager recognized my voice immediately and I asked how, "I never forget anyone I had to turn away in disappointment." Anyway we went back for the third time and yet again we were impressed. Everyone loved it. The food is wonderful, the ambiance is gorgeous (even the restroom is beautiful) but the staff is the cherry on top. Service is fast and friendly even when they are swamped. Don't miss Mimi's.

My family and I stopped at this place during a long road trip, and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere was very pleasant and had a cool vibe to it. The waitress was also very nice and served us super quickly! The food came out fast too and it was amazing. I just wish this place was closer to where I live, but it certainly would be worth the 6 hour drive.

We stopped here on a road trip because of the five star reviews.... It was okay. Waffles were frozen premade . Ham was a ham loaf. Chicken salad was fine, but not memorable. Meh.
