Mickey's

Solid sandwiches, pizza, and salads. A far better option than the chain sandwiches! They also have some fun subs and creations. The service is always friendly and I've sat with friends, family, and coworkers and had lunch and it's always comfy and yummy! Great local shop!

Always a staple on my vacations to the hometown! Been eating here since the early 80's and the taste never disappoints. The crazy part is when I came back some of the staff still knew me by name (I had been out of town for about 15 years) Not sure if that's a good or bad thing... Love this joint , it's a must taste if you're in the area. Club sub on wheat with extra mayo, please. Thanks Jim.

I found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I did. First of all the smelling baking bread hits you when you walk in - a most welcoming smell! Sure enough the sub rolls tasted fresh and delicious - truly a difference maker with the sub. I got an Italian. I loved it - half sub was the perfect size for me. We also tried the brownie - highly recommend. Great spot for a cheap lunch in a favorite local spot. I loved reading all about their history on the TV screens in the restaurant.

Funky cool building and a great crew of people. I didn't try the pizza but I did have a sub ... and let me tell you the bread is so fresh and pillowy. No one in this town should ever go to Subway ever again.

Mickeys has always been a favorite childhood subject and pizza place. I moved to the cities 23 years ago and hadn't had a sub in about 10 years. I was so excited to go today. I ordered a ham and turkey with tomatoes, onion, spinach, cucumbers and olives and banana peppers. Got home to eat it... no tomatoes, no onion. One measly slice of ham and turkey - 2 tiny cucumbers and one or two pieces of wilted spinach. I couldn't believe it: it was basically a mayo bread sandwich. Not sure what happened to the quality but that a disappointment. The service was still great as usual, but wow:

It's hard to believe when I think about it, but I've been getting subs at Mickey's since the early 80s, when they were located by my junior high school - 40 years ago! It's crazy, but the food there is just as delicious as ever. I haven't lived up there for many years now, but whenever I am in town I have to stop in. And what's really cool about this place, is that some of the same faces are there from when I was 13 years old, getting a sub after football practice, and they remember me. It's not just a local favorite due to nostalgia....they make fantastic food, and whenever I tell people to go there, they always tell me they loved it. Mickey's is a one of a kind treasure.
