I hit this liquor store up on my way to downtown White Bear as it's right on Hwy 61. It's not anything spectacular, but have a lot of options and easy to be in and out quickly.

Great prices one of the best and low cost liquor stores in the area and they have exclusive liquor bottles that you can't buy anywhere.

A clean, friendly, well organized place. Prices on beer were pretty standard, and they had a decent, refrigerated make your own beer six pack for $10.

This is the greatest MGM location I have ever been to. The people are so incredibly helpful & full of suggestions. It all started when I came upon the "build your own 6-pack" option about a year ago. I wanted to get some beer for my boyfriend & he has very different taste than I when it comes to beer, so I asked the guys @ MGM for some help. There were two behind the checkout & they both offered some great advice when it came to picking out the perfect 6-pack & my boyfriend loved it! Ever since then, they recognize me & point out the new beers & help me each time I go there. It make another errand that much more pleasant. :) Laid back, awesome customer service, a variety of beer & wine & all priced to perfection per MGM.

I'm not gonna lie; this place kind of blows. Trashy clientele aside, I can always find what I'm looking for somewhere else for less money. And the selection is exactly this: "Meh. I've experienced better." I hate when this is the most convenient place for me to stop for booze.

MGM has kind of a generic, non-varied selection, but they always have my favorite wine. Black Box Cabernet. Yes, it's a boxed wine. Don't judge me, it's delicious. I *do* wished the stocked more local stuff in terms of wine (the stuff they stock that's local isn't good...and they'll tell you that bluntly and honestly). They do, however, have the "3 Gingers" whiskey from the Local for all your Big Ginger drink needs. Occasionally they'll have little samples of things out. The last time I was in there they had this chocolate infused wine (which wasn't that great--it tasted sorta like Bailey's and red wine, but I appreciated the trial) in tiny sipping cups. The staff is generally helpful (see above-mentioned honesty: Me: "Do you have any local wines?" Staffdude: "Yes, here they are--but the ones we stock really aren't great...") but occasionally a touch surly. I guess that keeps the riff-raff out. They are more than happy to give a recommendation and lead you to where you want to go. The store is clean and spaciously laid out. I'd love a bit more variety, but hey, I'd probably just get a box of wine anyway, so it's kinda lost on me.

Nasty place, every time i come on this side of saint paul to shop, all the workers are always staring and giving you dirty looks like you gonna steal something. Can't even feel welcome and none of the employee even care to greet or ask if you need any help.

Always super friendly and willing to help me find whatever I am looking for. Placed an order I needed for a party, they had it ready to pick up and helped me get it to my car. I will continue to go back because of the service and selection.

Craft beer has gotten a lot better as of late. Also a good selection of 50ml shooters if you want to try some new types of liquor. It has been mentioned that the guys here can be a little abrasive but I would assume they have to be to work at a liquor store in east st. Paul. But if your nice to them they'll be nice to you. Always willing to help and love their craft so they'll love to help you find something perfect.
