Menards

We stopped by Menards today (Saturday) for their 15% off everything you can get in the bag sale. We picked out some paint, trim, other supplies, and snacks. We are remodeling our house and Menards had everything we needed, from trim, to doors, and even snacks to keep us going. Loved the 15% off sale- we saved near $50 bucks. The employees were really helpful with directing us to what we needed and helping us mix paint. I also couldn't find the meat injectors (for a brisket we are making tomorrow), but I looking up the product online and found which aisle it was in. Super convenient!

Menards is a money trap in my opinion. No matter which one I go to, I end up spending way too much.Menards is always great, plus I went early on the morning and they were super helpful. Especially the gal at the paint counter. Wish I would have got her name to praise for her knowledge, but alas, I didn't.Overall, great place and experience!

We had a better Menards experience today since the light bulbs that were on sale were in the LIGHTING section (as it should be). On our way to the register, my dude (that loves hardware stores) found a pair of warm work socks on sale (2 pack for $2.99) so its no wonder that he's checking on the sales items by the registers. Our cashier, Angela, was not inpatient while he was checking out those items and said there was no one behind us in line, so take our time. So he did....and found some Fisher peanuts for fishing. Well played, Angela. Your company gained more sales by not pushing us out the door.

Excellent staff. Excellent stores. Hard to say anything negative about anything with this company. Prices are reasonable and staff are well knowledgeable. I've picked up lumber. Windows. Doors. Paint. Etc......

I moved to Blaine a month ago and have had 2 bad experiences at Menards. The first time, they did not want to take my purchase out of the box to load even though that was the only way it would fit. Had to threaten to go someplace else before they agreed to it. Today, I went to Purchase 2 vanity tops, faucets, and mirrors. I needed to have them installed. The clerk said they have contractors who will do this but did not know if they would pick up snd deliver at time of installation. No effort made to find out. Said I would have to contact installers. I said that I would just go someplace else that was more helpful Iike Lowes. No more Menards for me.

My husband and I spend thousands per year at this Menards (as well as other ones in the area) and after our experience today, we will never shop at this location again. We made a purchase of ceiling tiles that came in a packages of 10 and they thought they were going to get by with giving us less than 20 sheets of tiles rather than the 250 sheets that were ordered and paid for. The people in the loading area were extremely rude and would not acknowledge their error. The front desk people did finally give us our money back, but only after making us feel like fools. Very poor customer experience at this store - beware!! I can find much better places to spend my money and not be treated like crap!

Don't purchase a snow blower at Menards. Bought a new one and it ran for 20 minutes and quit. Tried to exchange it and they said no. Would have to bring it into a Briggs and Stratton service center and wait for them to look at it. Which will probably take a month or more. They won't stand behind the products they are selling and put the problems on the customer when they should just exchange it and not make the customer jump thru hoops.

I bought a grill and meticulously filled out the 12% rebate form because I know how so many companies just don't mail you your rebate, and I figured Menards was an upstanding company. I was wrong, you will not get your rebate even when you take great care to fill out the rebate info. properly. It was a $24 scam for me.

We were there with just some friends and they kicked us out for absolutely no reason. We were being fully respectful and they said it was because we weren't buying anything, but we had just been walking around for a short amount time and were going to buy stuff.

My family and I went to a couple Menards to look at flooring. As soon as you enter you are accosted by a HUGE sign that says customers have to wear a mask for covid, and they *sell* them.Regardless of what you think about mask wearing, the fact is that NO grocery store in the area has required customers to wear masks inside the store since the start of the lockdowns. In fact I haven't encountered any store *period* that requires customers to wear masks. But these guys, particularly at the Blaine store were relentless. I had pulled up my t-shirt over my mouth and was holding it there with my hand, but that wasn't enough for them. You have to wear a MASK. You have to BUY a mask. What's the difference? Straps. Straps make all the difference. Straps stop the virus. We have a special needs son who won't keep a mask on. They wouldn't even let *him* skate! *They* were going to sit with him in the front of the store. Would you let a stranger do that?We were hounded out of the store. We called Home Depot - no masks required, just like every other store in the Twin Cities - except Menards. The difference was like night and day. Great customer service. Never going back to Menards again.
