Meister Bar & Grill

Cute little bar in the neighborhood. The food is good and having German beer on tap is a real treat. I enjoyed the German burger (sauerkraut and Swiss cheese on it). We also had the fried fish. Both items were very tasty. The place was full so we ended up at a table for six. Three ladies came in and we invited them to sit with us. They were locals and gave us a really good history of all the Meister brothers and their restaurants. It was an enjoyable evening.

Food: Home made and fresh! Filling! Not your average bar burgers! Great beer (per mom and uncle)Not sure if I had the German Burger (German Meister) or if it was called something else. Great Burger - Great service - Great atmosphere- Frosted mug! Reviews are not doing this place Justice!

Just what we needed after a sunny morning on the river: somewhere cool and dark! And food. And a decent drink. They have a great German beer on tap (mug or pint size). All the sandwiches were good, just a little spendy.

What's wrong with me? I've lived in the Stillwater area for over 25 years and haven't eaten at Meister's until today. What took me so long? This place is totally old school. Last redecorated well before I moved to town: orange shag carpet on the walls, tchotchkes spilling off shelves, red and black vinyl booths, formica tables. Cash or check only; Grain Belt on tap. Come here for the warm friendly atmosphere and a basic burger, fries, and beer.

Growing up in the area this was my very first visit to Meisters! I'm sad I didn't get there sooner! We started out with the cheese curds. They were good, but not my favorite. My hubby and I both got the cheese Meisterbuger - super delish! We also shared some hand-cut french fries. I'd put fries in the same category as the cheese curds. Our server was amazing, she was super friendly and helpful with the menu. I loved the ambience - it's a great little neighborhood bar I look forward going back to!

Always a cozy atmosphere with great service. A bit more expensive than you would think, but the food is great!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Best burgers around. All the Meisters are wonderful people - I will support this little family-owned neighborhood watering hole until the day I die. Steve Meister is especially handsome so if you're lucky enough to get him to fry you up a burger, count your blessings.

Ordered the special , disgusting. Buns were stale the hot dogs were not even warm indigestion . The fries were very good the beer was icey cold but the service was slow. 7:30 on a Thursday evening, not a full house. I had heard good things , I will not return .

Stopped in here due to the downtown area being way too crowded. Didn't know what to expect. Had their meister burger, which was very good. Comes with bacon and onion, but lettuce and tomato cost an extra $2.00 for some reason. Also, does not come with fries, so split a half order with my wife. Hand cut, also very good. Staff was friendly and good. Recommend.
