McCormick's Family Restaurant

I agree with other Yelpers. This is a solid 3.5 star breakfast place. I am a vegetarian, so there were not a whole lot of options on the menu for me, but the server was willing to substitute an extra egg for the meat which is served with every dish on the menu. I had a Mexican Omelette on my first visit. It definitely needed salt, which was easy enough to add, but the creamy salsa on the outside with cheese on the inside was a little too rich for me. It was served with hash browns, which were slightly burned and dry and small pieces of toast with yummy strawberry jelly. At over $15, I felt it was over-priced. My friends said their Reuben was very good. Our group decided to go again the next day, and I ordered a vegetarian skillet. It was better than the omelette, but i have had much better elsewhere. In my opinion, the tastiest and most unique thing this restaurant has to offer are the popovers. Our server was friendly and was able to accommodate our large group's separate checks. I would consider coming here again if I'm ever in the area.

A hot shot for a dessert stop! Latest round was a piece of coconut cream pie for me and a *HUGE!!" brick of bread pudding for my dining partner. A meal unto itself. The slice of pie seemed small for the price, being like an eighth of the pie, rather than the one sixth of a pie that is standard slice size in my world. Entree meals have usually been good, albeit rather standard Middle America fare. Price can feel high, until you consider their relatively massive portions. Staff is consistently friendly, fast, and efficient about delivering requested items & insuring diners are well cared for.

Down home food and service. Pop-overs are so good. Very decent breakfast for the price.

Generic bland tasting food.Tried the soup and this and that, REALLY wanted it all to work, but no.Food is really generic on the low spectrum of tastebuds

All food here is good. You won't get a bad dish. Cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. My favorite thing here is definitely a bowl of chili! Best chili in MN!!

Thank goodness these guys serve breakfast all day. I have to agree with Alicia R., in that their benedicts are awesome. As are the omelets, especially the Mexican, with the spicy chorizo. Really nice kick. Their dinner & sandwich menus leave something to be desired. The Philly I had lacked any flavor at all! Never again. The salad bar is blah. Reminds me of half of what Ruby Tuesday's had. So, if you go, and I recommend you do (their staff is awesome & super friendly,) stick to breakfast.

I have now visited McCormick's twice since moving to Hutchinson and have not been disappointed. The fact that you can get breakfast for dinner definitely makes my heart (and tummy) happy! In my process of trying out all the local places early on in my new home city, I learned that McCormick's boasts some pretty amazing eggs Benedict and so I had to go back and try them ... hands down the best I've ever had and I had a few go to places back in CA! Service is fast and friendly. Food is amazing!

Great local spot with American favorites and a fun selection of desserts! The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are always courteous. My favorites are the pancakes and the popovers.

Ran across this little place Hutchison And decided to stop for breakfast. The first thing that greets you is a delectable case of pastries. They had these huge caramel cinnamon rolls with nuts that immediately called my name. I ordered one with a side of bacon. I was not disappointed, it was delicious. The bacon was really good too. Thick sliced and four pieces. My husband ordered the cheddar omelet. It was plenty big for his appetite and served with hash browns and toast. Great breakfast! Our server was very nice and attentive. She had coffee and water on the table immediately and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. All in all a nice dining experience. I will definitely put this on my list of places to return.

Wow this place is old school. And I mean this in more then one way. It's a home town restaurant. Lots of regulars and good ole small town restaurant food. Food was good. Salad bar is a little small but compared to all the other over the top salad bars I couldn't complain. All the food was fresh and offered all the staples any one needs to enjoy a good salad. The average age of the patrons is probably 75 and that might be low. This is where old people go when they don't want to cook. I will say his was probably the friendliest restaurants in Hutch. It's definitely worth trying.
