MC’s Garage

Stopped by for a Saturday evening meal. Although there are Muddy Cow locations and an MC's Taproom near home, it didn't click until I read the menu which felt familiar. I'm a fan of both of those in the northern/northwestern metro, and this place didn't disappoint!They really committed to the "garage" esthetic. The handles were tools, there were car parts all over, and even the bathroom sinks fit the part. We loved it! We sat on the patio, as recommended by the host, and were able to enjoy the gorgeous fall weather. The drinks were refreshing and generally strong. The international was like their take on a Bahama Mama, and the Mercedes was an elevated Vodka Cran. Both accompanied our meals beautifully. I opted for the Spicy Dill burger with fries and seasoned sour cream. I loved the crunch of the banana peppers and the way the cream cheese helped mute the acidity. Their fries are meaty, crispy, and overall delicious. Pair it with the seasoned sour cream and you're set!

Service was quick and the food was good. The interior is a really fun concept. I loved the queso dip with homemade tortilla chips.

Our server was very friendly and sweet. It was like auto body shop themed restaurant. Food was pretty good. Nice big portions. My Pink Cadillac drink was delicious.

This place was delicious! My husband and I both ordered the jalapeño burger, which as everyone can see from the picture, was delicious and I ate every bite. The French fries were crispy and well seasoned. My kids all ordered the Mac n cheese and the tenders. The Mac n cheese was not that nasty Kraft Mac that most restaurants bring out and my daughter liked it. My other two kids scarfed down their chicken tenders, my husband had a bite and said it was very tender and juicy. We came in here on a Wednesday afternoon and there were only like 3 other people in the restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and kind. The restaurant itself is very clean and the bar is kind of closed off away from everyone which I appreciate. The place looked nice too.

Good customer service chicken was really good. My father got Elvis Presley burger really good bread was a little bit iffy on the chicken basket

The newest addition to Mankato is MC's Garage - a retro garage themed burger a brew restaurant. There dining and bar area are both large with a line of TVs facing both directions separating the two spaces. It is very bright and airy with a tasteful amount of classic car garb. The service was friendly and offered up plenty of suggestions. Regularly checking on the table. Started with the "Trash Can Nachos". The serving size was pretty generous with a number of tostada chips covered with meat and veggies. Meat was just okay with what tasted like a pretty generic "taco" seasoning. Would have liked fresh sliced jalapeños as well instead of pickled. The "PB&J Chicken Sand (yes, sand) had a really good flavor and the bacon was cooked perfect. Chicken breast was not juicy but not dry and had a very crunchy exterior. Peanut butter was delicious but didn't taste much of the hot jam. "Olive You" Burger was LOADED with cream cheese and an ample amount of green olives. Patty was cooked towards the well done side and could have been more medium. I really enjoyed the space and the staff. The food could have been a little better but it is still new and I'm certain they will iron things out.

Service was spot on but the food was below expectations and pricey for the small portions. Won't be back.

Great bar/restaurant in Mankato. If you're craving a burger or sandwich this is the place. There is much more too. The top hits from our group were the Blackberry BBQ Wings and the Pulled Pork Mac Bowl. A large amount of options to fit anyone's cravings. The trash can nachos are a must if you are looking for an appetizer to share with group of 5+. Comes with side of salsa and sour cream. My favorite burger was the Carnitas burger. A lot of meat and tons of toppings, but tasted so great. I would order this same thing next time. And I need to say their fries might be one of the best fries I've ever tasted. It reminds me of a potato wedge in a sense. If you're visiting Mankato, this restaurant is a must stop.

Food is great and the staff is good, very personable. Jessica the bartender is hands down the best. Love her energy!
