Over priced bad food that shouldnt be served. The tomatoes were rotten, it took forever and he wouldn't give me fresh meat. He served me meat he shaved off 1 hr prior.

This place used to have great food two years ago. There now are now owners, and the food employees are constantly changing hands plus little if any of the food is made from scratch. It used to be owned by a family and the mother was a great cook.So regarding my past review, scratch it.

I've actually been going to this place on and off since it was "Adam's something or other" (can't actually recall the name). Since then it's changed hands. Now the convenience store is run by the owner's son, and the deli is run by another guy who is renting the space. It's always been sort of a sketchy, greasy spoon. Not clean, which never really bothered me, but might matter to some. When is the last time they cleaned the dust stalactites from the ceiling vent???My real issue is how it's run, you're just as likely to walk in while the deli guy is out somewhere doing something else. They get the order wrong pretty frequently, and will happily serve you a gyro on rock-hard, stale bread. LOL @ the person who said best falafel in the Twin Cities. And the one who said "very well kept".One time, the convenience store guy stepped in while the deli guy was out, and basically told black patrons they were out of menu items when they weren't. This was kind of the last straw for me. I don't know if the guy who owns the deli is a dirtbag too, but I won't be going back.

I wanted wings today. When I want wings, I am going to get wings. As so often happens, I can make my own because I have them in the freezer or I can go pick some up. Let others do the cooking for me.. Today was no exception. I got a pack of wings in the freezer, but too lazy to thaw them out and fire up the grill. I decided to try their wings. They do not have a lot of choices as far as how they are sauced up. No sauce, bbq, mild or spicy. Me being the pepper head, I chose the spicy. It was just standard Louisiana Hot Sauce. But it was good. I went to the counter and the cook came in from outside. It is kinda warm out today, so he hangs outside to at least try and stay cool. I ordered a dozen wings. He wrote up the order handed me my bill for less than $12.00 for a dozen full wings. I am beginning to like the full wings rather than the separated wings at most places.I placed my order and he went to the cooler to get out 12 full wings. Before he asked for my order, he went to the hand washing station for his hand washing exercise. He put on disposable rubber gloves.Gotta like a place that cares enough about proper food handling. He breaded up my wings and placed them in the fryer. He told me it probably would be 15 minutes or so. Well ok if that's what it takes, that's what it takes. He noticed I was an ecig user and asked how I like it. I mentioned to him, I have more $$$ for spending on getting good eats. I think he likes me being an ecig user.....I would have liked the breading to be more pepper, rather than the salty taste I experienced. But I will be back. They have portions that are good for us older crowd. The 6 inch Philly cheese sounds great. We do not have good Philly Cheese in the St. Paul area. Maybe Max Mart can change that..

The gyro blast is delicious!! Just tried this place today and am so glad I found this little gem!! The service was great and we definitely got more than our money's worth. Think New York street fare, but not having to wait outside in the cold. We can't wait to go back and try the house made hummus!
