I went for brunch over the weekend! The food was delicious! I got the eggs florentine which had a lovely texture and hearty flavor driven by the goat cheese. I had a bite of my friend's almond flour pancakes which was also delicious, but let me tell you if you're only getting one thing here, get the potato churros! They have a beautiful light crisp on the outside with a soft pillowy inside. I would come back just for those churros! The service was also great!

Service: 5 stars! Our server was friendly and informative. Learned a lot about the menu and their signature drinks.Food: I loved my potato gnocchi - it might be the best in Minnesota. It's super creamy, perfectly flavored, not too salty or oily (which is important to me). I tried gnocchi all over the town including a few fancy spots in DT Minneapolis and North Loop, so you can trust me lol. My partner tried their steak, also good! The dessert we got is exceptional - get this pudding looking thing! It's so good! I forgot its name.Ambiance: intimate and romantic. Cute decor. Just feel like tables are too close to each other and it's pretty crowded even for a Monday night. It's my partner's birthday so that's my only complaint.

The high average rating is clearly a price bias. Customers spend a higher dollar amount and convince themselves of value. To be fair, Martina has strengths; real strengths. The bar staff are spectacular and the vibe is fun.Parking is a nightmare, even with off-peak reservation times. As many others have highlighted, the host(ess) desk is a callous mess and not the way you want to start the evening. You can forget the value of having a reservation as that is clearly a suggestion within a one-hour window. I suggest you just try to sit at the bar.So onto food:The Yellowtail Crudo ($19) is a standout. In fact, you can take my advice and come to Martina for drinks with friends and a light bite of this yummy dish...then go eat dinner somewhere else.Empanadas ($16) with leaks and garbanzos are good, to be sure, but on reflection, seem out of place on the menu and I get the sense that they are a backdoor method to justify the chimichurri for the kitchens mains.Papperdelle ($32) with duck ragu is a hearty and reliable execution. However, it is unmemorable and lacks a signature flavor that would make it stand out. In the end, it's a staple comfort food you will forget about like mom's meatloaf.Wagyu Zabuton ($48). "zabuton" is an overly fancy way to say in Japanese "cushion." Most people know it as a Denver steak from the front shoulder. You would NEVER know this is wagyu beef. Not only was it tough but the kitchen cut the beef WITH the grain, making it chewy. I would say, the accompanying potato churros are tasty. However, as above, the chimichurri seems forced. The Swordfish is another entree miss. The kitchen has done very little to enhance this steak fish which only goes to expose the fish is clearly a frozen cut that has oiled out and tastes "fishy." To be fair, the manager inspected the fish and agreed, removing the dish from our bill. To that end, the managers genuinely appear interested in protecting their brand. I fear, however, the issues we encountered are rapidly going to unravel that brand.

This place is wonderful! Last week I had dinner with some coworkers and we decided to share everything which was a fabulous idea!I was quickly greeted when I arrived and seated at the table. The decor was very pretty and nice and warm! For drinks I tried one of the N.A. options, "Tropical" drink. It was sweeter but really yummy! It was hard to not drink it all at once. For apps we had many but some of my favorites were cinnamon fried calamari, steamed mussels and seared scallops. They were all amazing and def recommend. For our dinner we shared 6 dishes and some of my favorites were mushroom rigatoni, it had a great crisp to the mushroom and everyone thought my choice was the most basic but they ended up loving mine the most!!! We also had mafaldine, orecchiette, fusilli with lamb ragu and swordfish. I also had the best dessert of my life!! You have to try the panqueque. It was a great balance of balance of banana, dulce de leche and crushed caramel! I've been dreaming of this dessert since I had it last week!

I've been to Martina a handful of times and it's always on my recommendations list. The ambiance, the staff, the food - it's always consistently an enjoyable experience. Super busy on the weekends so would highly recommend a reservation. There is off-street free parking on the side of the building down a bit. I pretty much always get the Cacio E Pepe Ravioli because when you like something, you like something. But the most important thing on the menu is the POTATO CHURROS. I don't know how to describe how perfectly these things are cooked, it's like crispy on the outside but mashed potato consistency on the inside. When I visit with friends, we always get one to share for the table but then I also order my own, I love them that much. If you like potatoes, I promise this won't disappoint!Brunch is also pretty good although I usually prefer to go for dinner.

Martina has been quickly became one of my favorite spots. Whether you are wanting a dinner date, quick drink with the girls or after dinner drinks and dessert they have what you may not even know you need. Let's start with drinks old fashioned and espresso martini they nail both of these every time! Appetizers are a must potato churros and empanadas the flavor of both cannot be beat. The last visit was for gnocchi night and it was incredible we had potato gnocchi, oxtail and mushroom pasta our group shared all because the flavors were all different and unique! Then desert the cherry on top! Panqueque a crepe with bananas, Carmel and fresh mascarpone. Incredible! Server was attentive, had great suggestions and was very friendly.Beautiful space.

Martina is a modern Argentinian restaurant located in the Linden Hill area of Minneapolis. The ambiance of this restaurant was excellent: chic, open, and airy. The main dining room has high ceiling which could make the acoustics a bit noisy. Still, it had a good vibe. We ordered the one pound steamed mussels with country bread. I highly recommend this dish! The sauce was made with sea urchin which added great umami, lime, white wine, garlic and red peppers for a nice kick. The country bread was perfectly charred and went nicely with the broth. The broth was so flavorful that after we finished mopping the bread with it, my partner drank it! If you like mussels, I highly recommend this dish! The second dish was the potato gnocchi and that was simple and delicious. Service was excellent. We were there to celebrate an anniversary and happily received complimentary wine and mock-tail. This restaurant does get booked up so I recommend making a reservation in advance.

For our last meal in Minneapolis, our friend introduced Martina, an Argentina and Italian fusion restaurant. The restaurant looked like a fun spot with a lot of people inside. We had a reservation, but the wait wasn't too bad for a Sunday lunch. The cocktail menu looked amazing, but we had a little too much the night before, so we just got the mocktails. We tried pachamama and tropical. They were tasty and refreshing, highly recommended. For food, we ordered Martina burger, mortadella sandwich, lobster toast, crab benedict, carbonara verde, and potato churros on the side. Our favorite was the burger. It was simple but hit the spot. The side potato churros accompanied the burger well and should be ordered even without the burger. Our least favorite was the carbonara verde. The dish was bland and all we could taste was the pea tendrils, pancetta did nothing for the dish. We tried to add salt, but it was just not good regardless what we tried.Overall experience was meh. After we ordered our food, our sever was gone with the menu. They did ask if they could bring us anything when the dish was coming to the table, but how did we know what we needed before trying anything? The coffee was empty, the water was empty, we had to wave down whoever for everything since we didn't get checked after the dishes came. With that said, we don't know if they have happy hours, but if they do, definitely go there to try their drinks and potato churros.

The food at this place is simply heavenly! From the vibrant salads to the mouthwatering bruschetta, gnocchi, and salmon, every dish is exquisite. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and each bite is a delightful experience. And the flan? Absolutely perfect! It's creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness to end your meal on a high note. The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who make you feel right at home. This is a spot you absolutely cannot miss, whether you're a local or just passing through. It's a dining experience that will leave you wanting to come back for more!

Wow! This place was amazing. I've always wanted to go but never had the chance. We came here for a celebration and were so pleased. The server knew their stuff and was able to describe the food very well. We had a spot near the window, which allowed us a view of the entire place. Very cozy with the dark lighting but also very clean with all the greenery. The food was amazing and we cannot wait to go back.
