Marnas was super tropical which is exactly what we had been looking for! Parking was a bit full but I was able to find a spot by the laundromat. The interior really catches you by surprise from how different it is to Minnesota winter! We came in for brunch on a saturday and had a mimosa flight, corn bread, yuca fries, steak with eggs, arroz con huevo, and another dish that I forgot but have a picture of. It did take a while to get our food although it was not super busy. The mimosa flight was okay, next time I'd pick something else for drinks. The yuca fries were pretty good! They actually have seasoning here. My friends loved the corn bread but I prefer it to be a bit sweeter. My friend had the arroz con huevo which she loved! It looked delicious and the shrimp were seasoned to perfection. I had steak, eggs, and potato's which was all wonderful and super filling. 8/10 for these two. The dish that I forgot the name for (pic included) is the only one i'd skip next time. We were having a pretty good time except our waitress seemed to rush us out even though it was 2pm and there were only three people at the bar besides one other table in the whole restaurant. She told us she was rushing us because her shift was about to end and even after we paid she sat there for another hour. This made us uncomfortable and she didn't really seem like she wanted to be there in the first place. We still tipped decently and our total bill was $130, hopefully next time the service is friendlier!

Super cute ambiance that definitely transports you out of MN to a relaxing, tropical island. We also loved the open kitchen concept. Started off with the seared scallops, which were good, but the scallops were tiny. Why not go with larger scallops and bump up the price? I selected the El Dorado and was just a little miffed that the coconut habanero rice didn't have more flavor. The star of the show was my husband's Casado, which he was kind enough to share with me when he noticed I wasn't eating my meal with gusto (we swapped plates halfway through). Also, the La Pina drink was visually appealing, but I wouldn't consider it worth ordering again. While we did love the ambiance and appreciated the culinary vacation, the only real downside was our server, Victoria. She seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else than at work, and didn't check in to inquire as to how we liked our food or see if we wanted any other beverages. We'd planned to order dessert but got so tired of waiting that we paid as soon as we could and grabbed some elsewhere on the way back to our hotel.

Great vibe Plantains were amazing. Vegetarian I am and grateful they had dish's for me. Flavors fell a bit short (bland) for me on both the rice and veggies. Margaritas were delicious Cheers

This area is becoming the hidden gem of eateries. I love trying out new foods, especially Latin - this is Costa Rican influence dishes. There's 2 rooms to the restaurant, one is the bar and the other is the bigger dining room. They also have a big patio area too. Service was great, they gave us recommendations to order. My friend had the cocktail in a real pineapple. I had to order tres leche first because we always get so full and no room for dessert. Food was flavorful and fresh.

This place is outside our usual boundaries for brunch. However, after looking at the menu, we decided to give it a try-and boy, I'm glad we did!Sat at the bar, which was available for a walk-up and started with Mimosa flights. They have a variety of juices all paired in the right proportion with the sparkling (just a spritz). For entrees, we had the cornbread, Arroz Con Huevo, andGallo Pinto . Hands down, the cornbread is the best in town. If you get nothing else, get the cornbread! It's made to order so it comes out piping hot and delicious. The Arroz Con Huevo and Gallo Pinto were also amazing and HUGE. We could have split a single item and still have gone home satisfied. We will be making the trip back up for sure.NOTE: Brunch is only available on Saturday!!

A couple things, there's a parking lot, and there's three entrances that makes it confusing as hell. The entrances take you to what feels like three different spaces that are all part of the restaurant. However, only the street facing entrance takes you to the host stand, all entrances are open but you're only suppose to go to the front...think of it as a maze activity before dinner. There's the main dining area, a "lounge" area that looks more like a restaurant than a lounge, and a cute outdoor space that makes you feel like you're at a beach resort. We sat outside. For food: Vigoron, yes, gimme more. Crispy, crunchy pork belly thats also so juicy and succulent. The slaw was great and you get yuca frites with the pink sauce that has Big Mac sauce vibes, but better. Chicken Casado: Meh, chicken was cooked well, it was seasoned-ish, but the dish overall was missing fireworks. Needed a punch of flavor, could have used a hot sauce...or the pink sauce. Mahi mahi ceviche: Yup, get it. You have the bright lime flavors and tender mahi mahi, it was refreshing and so light you may as well not count the calories. Yuca Frites: Perfect, I'd take yuca frites over French fries anyday. Gauc was gauc. I'd skip. Dessert, the churros, a bit too doughy for my liking and it had zero flavor. The coconut ice cream, however, was divine. It had so much coconut flakes that it was cake like. I'd like a carton of the coconut ice cream. Service was friendly, but painfully slow. We arrived at 4pm, hardly anyone else dining that early, yet it took 2 hours for us to finish our meals. Our drinks took forever, food was pretty quick, but everything thing else was snail like. We had to go find our server to pay it was taking so long. Overall, I'd come back for sure, but I guess I'll plan for 3 hours next time :/

The food was really flavorful and delicious for the appetizer I got seared scallops, which came with roasted poblano orange sauce, sweet potato purée and roasted corn. For my entree I ordered the gallo pinto it has Rice and bean blend served with sweet fried plantains, sour cream, sunny side up egg, guacamole and a tortilla aliñada I added some carnitas for some extra protein. For my drink I ordered a mimosa flight and La Pina which had rum haven coconut water rum, coconut cream, lime, and pineapple juice
