Huge grocery store, easily the biggest this section of the US map with very diverse selection of foods of all kinds. There's even a coffee shop (caribou coffee) at the entrance and a large beer and liquor store inside. Very large selection of produce and meats with a big specialty section for organic and natural products as well.

Large grocery store with usually well stocked selections. Produce is typically fresh, but sometimes certain items are bought out. "Food Club" is the generic brand here, the store is owned by Coborn's if you're familiar with them. The liquor selection is large, but separate from the food and requires a separate check out. Maybe 12 years ago or so, a bear cub climbed into the beer cooler. (I've been coming here awhile) This store used to compete with the Co-op food store but now just Walmart. There are a couple self checkouts. You can sign up for their More Rewards to catch sale prices and saver coupons, money off on gas purchases at Holiday, etc. There's a coffee shop inside to the right as you enter and I think a pharmacy is still there.

This is a very nice, high quality, full service grocery with everything you'd need or want. Deli, meat, lots of to go items, grilling food and tools, and everything you'd expect in a big city grocery.Big parking lot. Lots of locals and tourists inside and out. They have a good liquor and beer selection with some decent deals yet this remains my second favorite beer store because of the enormous selection at The Cabin Stop liquor store inside the Northern Lakes Cooperative building, on US Hwy 63 along the main drag. Both are close, so check them both out and decide for yourself.

This store is a joke. I usually like the bakery here but three times I've ordered cakes and they've screwed up the orders , one time I didn't even get my order, or refund. This last time I ordered a wedding cake for my son, well two days before the wedding they messaged that they had to cancel the order. The lady on the phone when I called was rude and told me to come in and pick a cake out the cooler . I will not recommend the bakery here ever again .

While my family and friends were vacationing in Hayward a few weeks ago, we stopped in here to grab some alcohol as the locals said this was a good place to get some good, local beer.Other than a nice grocery store, this place has a HUGE alcohol selection, which was definitely a nice surprise. Of course, I bought a nice bottle of bourbon for the weekend while others in my group purchased some local beer. All for normal prices.Overall, it was a great experience. If I'm ever in Hayward again, I will definitely stop by here to grab some booze.

Marketplace is a godsend when we're up in Hayward once a year for my boyfriend's family's annual July 4 get-together. We typically make several trips during our stay. And not only is it a grocery store -- something you definitely need for a week in the North Woods -- but it's a pretty good one at that. It has a much wider grocery selection than Wal-Mart (obvs), with the name brands you find in every grocery store as well as some local selections mixed in. It's always clean and well stocked. The Marketplace liquor store isn't too shabby as well. I've found that it has a wider selection than the Wal-Mart liquor store, the other spot we sometimes hit up. And if you're looking for New Glarus beer in particular in Hayward -- our favorite! -- this has the best selection we've found in the area. The clerks have always been polite and helpful. It's the grocery store that every community should have.

We are locals and we love this store. Everyone is nice and the food is wonderful. In particular Stacy helped us today and we are grateful. You cannot go wrong with this store! :)

We are "Up North" newbies and weren't sure where to head for groceries to tide us over during our few-days visit. We wandered along Hwy 27 for a couple of minutes and almost passed Marketplace by because we thought it was just a liquor store. Upon examining the sign more closely, we figured it out! "Food" and Liquor - yay! After entering the store, we were greeted by a display featuring all of the necessary accoutrements for your s'mores-making endeavors, complete with 4 ft long marshmallow-toasting sticks with sharpened ends priced 3/$2.00 (some entrepreneur had a genius idea there - these were dowels straight from the hardware store and sharpened in someone's garage, but they sure did the trick!) We stocked up and headed onward... While perusing the rest of the grocery, I was impressed by the selection - they really had EVERYTHING! Usually places that are a bit "out of the way" seem to be missing some of the comforts of home, but this place really hit the mark and had everything that we were looking for, with a great variety and quality brands. Appropriate to Wisconsin, the dairy section was extensive. I will say that they don't carry much in the way of off-brand, and prices weren't low (probably due to the lack of much competition in the immediate area) $45 covered s'mores fixins, breakfast ingredients (eggs, bacon, waffles), Sprecher Root Beer, Shur-fresh Bottled water, a bundle of firewood, and Milk for my son.The lady who checked us out was very sweet as well, which is perfect (nothing is worse than a great experience in a good store that is then ruined by a curmudgeonly employee - luckily that was not a problem in this case)

Solid both in terms of a liquor store and a grocery store. Beer selection was great, and the grocery store side was as you would expect, but well stocked, clean and pleasant. Being able to buy groceries and beer in one place is nice. Well done.

I visited Marketplace for the first time recently, and was delighted to discover their extensive "natural foods" section, especially the entire aisle of refrigerated and frozen items that are often difficult to find, especially in small-town stores. As a vegan, I was really happy to find vegan meat substitutes, and especially vegan dairy items (cheeses, sour cream, cream cheese, nut milks, etc.). I'm sure other vegans/vegetarians also appreciate the extensive selection (and reasonable prices) offered here. I even found several products that I had only read about but hadn't found offered in any grocery stores as yet. So I hope to shop here often!
