Main Street Family Restaurant

We've started a new tradition where we try a new breakfast place each time we go to Diamond Joe Casino. So far, we've been to at least five restaurants and this one is still our favorite in Albert Lea. I think the best thing we've had here is the Denver omelette with hashbrowns, but their pancakes are also very good. It's easy to get in and out of here quickly, and still eat it at relaxed pace.

Great food and large portions so there will be no worry on leaving the restaurant hungry. Down side is that it's more spendy than other restaurants with same portions

I arrived around 9 am and sat at the middle bar area. I ordered the House Omelette with Avocado and Crispy Hashbrowns. Literally the best omelette I have ever eaten and the chef made the Hashbrowns perfectly crispy. I took my picture after I ate 1/2 of the meal. It was huge!! It was so good I tipped the two chefs who are brothers!The only waitress did an amazing job taking care of all the tables and continued to have a beautiful smile the whole time! Will definitely return when I am in the area.

To start, I wish we could give half stars because I feel like 3 stars isn't very fair. There was one server waiting on us and he was very attentive and kind, the restaurant is connected to a motel 6, which was an automatic red flag for me. Upon walking into the restaurant, there was that old carpet smell coming from the motel next door that really grossed me out and I almost walked out. However, I thought, let's give it a fair try because they have good reviews and the food looks fine. So, we were seated right away and got our drinks out quickly. I ordered a patty melt which was average, not bad, not great, but good. My husband got a jalapeño burger, which he finished and said was okay. The fries were great. My kids all got the Mac n cheese which is just your average Kraft Mac. Food came out relatively quickly as well. The inside of the restaurant looks really nice actually, and they have pictures you can purchase. I had to use the restroom and I had to walk through a long, musty, carpeted hallway to get to it. I turned left too soon and ended up in the lobby of the motel 6. Anyway, restrooms were gross. In conclusion, the food was good! There was no issue with the restaurant itself, it's just such an awful location. I think if they ever separated themselves from the motel, they could be 4 stars

The food was good, definitely above average. The service was excellent, a waitress that knew just what to do and when to check our table. So nice. We will definitely eat here again.

This is the perfect place to stop for lunch. The menu is varied and interesting and the service is incredible. Can't recommend highly enough.

I reserve five stars for a mind blowing gourmet experience, but I liked the greenery of the courtyard, they had good pie (even if "all pie is good pie", and my prime rib sandwich and fries were also really good.

Great food and service. Huge menu. Perfect for a quick stop when traveling but there seemed to be a lot of locals there too.
