Mad Jacks Sports Cafe

Bar area service. Had no plans of eating dinner after all the bad reviews I read so we figured maybe an app while we played darts with a beer.We ordered a couple cream ales when a server came to our table right away. Then decided on dry rub wings and fries. They were sooooo damn good we ordered another plate! And the fries were hot and had a tasty batter on them. I was impressed. We had a great time playing darts and listening to people attempt to sing at karaoke. We're happy to have found a place close to home to go have some beers.One thing I didn't like was the 18% gratuity added on automatically, but I'm assuming there was good reason for it so..... ‍

I was here earlier this evening for a small gathering and am a bit torn. From the standpoint of hosting a group of twenty or so people, I think they did a pretty solid job. There was some miscommunication and the regular spot wasn't reserved for the time we arrived, but they accommodated anyways and managed things despite only have one waiter (we tipped him heavily).However, from a food standpoint this was pretty mediocre. Imagine very boring staple pub foods and that's what you can get here. Nothing that came out was bad, but let's say I wouldn't come here for the food, but if you were here you'd probably be fine getting whatever.However, I have to give them credit for having a "cabin" room that's nice space for a private gathering. I wouldn't be opposed to going to an event here again if you just needed some space and the ability to easily get food and drink to the people attending.

I wish that there was an option to put zero stars or negative stars, but unfortunately, my only option is one star. After church, three of my friends and I were looking for a good place to eat brunch and have fellowship and we were very hungry as fellowship at church ran over longer than we had originally anticipated or budgeted. Initially, we wanted to go to Angelea's Soul Food Kitchen and unfortunately they did not have a seating area so we pivoted to this place, which was right across the street. As we walked in, it looked like your basic garden variety sports bar. We all took our time with the menu and a couple of us even opted to take our chance at some pull tabs which were on site. There was a bit of a communication breakdown within the group, and I rushed an appetizer order so that I would be able to break away earlier than the rest of the group had anticipated. I ordered the walleye fingers and was not disappointed! Sadly, I was not prepared for the disappointment that was to ensue...After the entire table had ordered, and the food was delivered, we began to pray. To the entire tables dismay, our server chose not to honor our moment in silence as we bowed our heads and began to ask us questions. My brother Johnny brought it to our server's attention, and the server was rather dismissive regarding the matter. One of us ordered the basic Mad Jack burger and the other three of us ordered the Ruben sandwich. It would appear, the Reuben was the more solid choice as three of us were somewhat satisfied with our meal selection, and the burger order was in the minority, as he expressed his meal was subpar, at best. Have you ever been to a place where you felt as if no one cared that you were there? That is exactly what this place is excelling at! This amazing customer service, insert sarcasm, continued as we ask five different people for a basic ibuprofen and was met with disappointment in different forms from all five people.

Great service to boot. The chicken and wild rice soup was delicious! I had the signature sandwich, it was made with their in house rotisserie chicken, in which it's the bomb! You can taste, and see the enthusiasm in their dishes. Finally, the tap beer is just off the chain ice cold!!!!

If the half lit signs are a prelude to your expectation of service.. .... it would be about right. Hated it.Ambiance: They have their own lot, located directly across Brooklyn Blvd from Target Greatland. Walk in, nice decor, half packed bar from the closing of happy hour from 9-11pm. I got there just after the rush.Food/drinks: didn't get to try anything.. service was so horr a bilical.Service: I stood at the bar waiting to order wings & an LIT. No one spoke, looked or acknowledged me. Saw a waitress ringing a guy up, so i asked if I could sit anywhere in here and get served. This girl responds (I cant make this up): You're staaanding at the baar, so you would order AT the bar. I had to stare at her for a minute to allow the blood that rushed to my head to balance back out. I let her know I was aware where I was standing and repeated my same question. I had to laugh, I had an earpiece in my ear, and had to (loudly) tell my friend what just happened. At this point, the waitress finally asks me what do I need? *insert a blank stareAt this point no one in there could assist me with tying my shoe. I told her nah, i was good and left. #nobuenosOne thing I cannot stand is a rude waitress and a bartender who ignores ppl. Can't do it. If you can afford to be rude, you do not need my money. I'm good, love.

We went to Mad Jacks tonight (a Tuesday evening) they had bingo going and there were a lot of people there. The bingo caller was very clear and they have a nice board that shows what numbers have been called. Unfortunately those are the only good things I can say. We waited at a table for quite a while and never saw a server. I went up to the bar to ask if a server could come to our table. The bar tender was texting, didn't look up, turned and walked away. I couldn't tell you what the food is like. We walked out without anyone ever talking to us.

I was there for happy hour with several friends and the place was dead. I ordered a gin & tonic and was given something very sub-par. When I told the bar tender the tonic was flat and asked could she fix it, she informed me the tonic "doesn't work" indicating the beverage nozzle, and recommended gin and water! I said no. She didn't know which beers were happy hour specials and when she worked it out, no dark beer. They couldn't even do basic drinks! We ordered flatbread which was good, but borderline burnt. Overall I don't recommend and won't be back.

I came there and and I ordered my food there was a female waiter who was awfully rude and had a snarky attitude she kinda made me feel uncomfortable. I'll never be coming here again I'll rather eat at a homeless shelter instead of this place :/

The best cat food (queso W/meat) I've ever had! Service was good, but other than that EW. Will not return.

The food was ok and the service was terrible, they messed up my groups order multiple times and kept forgetting things.
