Super high prices. In many cases double what you can get at Walmart (same exact product) old Wisconsin beef sticks are 23.99 there and at Walmart the same size and brand is $16.... they also will lie to you. Call in and promised to set aside a rotisserie chicken and an hour later they are ripping it to shreds with their hands even tho promising to put one aside for me. 2 hours before closing... when I talked to the manager about it she said that they never said that which is odd cus it was their idea to put one to the side for me.. yet now that they forgot or just didn't care to remember it never happened? For the crazy high prices they charge you would think they could at least be held to their word... don't shop here! You will not only save money by driving 30 mins to Walmart but you will at least get ppl that don't lie to you and treat you like garbage. They didn't even care about their customers enough to patch the Grand Canyon of cracks in front of their store.... I and everyone else I saw would bottom out our carts and struggle to get out of the crack... had to call after a year of that and then and only then did they give a minor temporary fix... they don't care about you. They do the bare minimum and will kick you on the ass in the way out after they take your money

A good store with most of the basics. Almost never crowded and not overwhelmingly large. If you're looking for specialty items, they probably won't have them, but most of the staff are friendly and the prices are decent. Their rewards program is too complicated, so I skip using it.

I disagree with Troy. While their standard prices are higher than Wal-Mart, they often have good sales. And there's the convenience factor. We live within walking distance of Mackenthun's. It's about a half hour drive to either Wal-Mart or Target. How much is your time worth??Target is good, but I always have trouble finding things at Wal-Mart. And their checkout system sucks, long lines. And who wants plastic bags?
