Food menu is very reasonable and great variety. Service is extraordinary , and the ambiance is woodland craftsmanship ! Anyone would like it here !

Excellent!! My husband and brother-in-law had perfectly cooked scallops and my sister and I both had delicious fried shrimp! Can't say enough about how much we all enjoyed our meals! Plus beer was cold, Old Fashions made perfectly and they even have Blantons! We will definitely be back!!

The food is good for bar food. The poor bartender/owner (we think). Was running his tail off the night we were there. Had to wait awhile for the food and to get served. All the employees were hustling to get food out and drinks served.

Excellent food, drinks and staff. Several beers on tap. Usually make reservations and reserve our prime rib for our Saturday night dinner!. Best prime we've ever had. Best dinner salad around, great presentation and excellent dressings. About the only place you get a vegetable served with your dinner, and its good!

Just had drinks here, can't comment on food... But I can say the owner Jack is a nice friendly guy. And his 3 little dashounds are cute. He got them to stand up for treats. Good selection of beers, I had a MKE Louie's Demise, good Amber beer. I forget his tap offerings, I think there were 4 maybe 5 or so. Loved the north woods atmosphere. Plenty of friendly bar patrons too including one guy I picked his brains for some fishing spots on Moose Lake(I need it)Place filled up pretty good with lots of people eating dinner there. I plan on trying the fish sandwich on a future trip.You can boat here and park it by the boat launch to visit this place.Update: we ate, most of us had the mushroom Swiss burger. Very good. Lake perch sandwich was what I wanted, but they were sold out. Chips come with the sandwiches, fries etc can be ordered on the side. Service is friendly, but on our visits Jack has been alone besides a cook and things can take awhile. But a nice northwoods place, lotsa deer and fish on the walls. An elk and some fishers, too. Alaskan Amber in bottles for fans of that delicious brew.

Very Good to Excellent food. We had the Friday Perch Dinner, some chicken, and some sandwiches: all way above average. The bartenders and wait staff were fun, friendly, and attentive. We will be going back.

We stopped in here with the little darlings for some broasted chicken and a couple Spotted Cow beers. I thought this was a delightful little bar. The staff was super friendly with two itty bitty dogs charming my babies and on cleanup duty. The food was simple, but hot and flavorful. Pool and darts. Loved it.

I visited Louie's at the recommendation of the owner/operator at the nearby Mystic Moose resort. I met and spent time with Jack who is friendly and obviously the backbone of the restaurant. He brings a very pleasant misdemeanor and focuses on customers regardless of number of people in the place or who might be a "local" or newcomer like me. From my experience, you'd be hard pressed to leave the place complaining about the service. Remember going in, Louie's is what it is and where it is. The vast majority of the menu is fried, the portions are generous (see photo) and the beer is cold. Again, this is the north woods of Wisconsin so remember your cholesterol meds, relax while enjoying the view of the lake and don't mention this stop to your cardiologist.

Jack [the owner] is as friendly as they get, along with the entire crew that works for him. The food is good, and priced right. Bring the family type place. The drinks are generous, and if you [like me] enjoy a good bloody mary, this place makes a very good one. The cold beer selection is plenty good enough for any desire. The tap selection is simple but A-OK. The view out the main window, be it summer or winter, is just plain fantastic. There is also a boat landing to access Moose Lake, and Louie`s Landing also has your bait needs if your fishing. This place is a northwoods gem. You will always get a good "bang for your buck" here, besides a friendly welcome. The groomed snow trails in winter lead right to the place, so even if you are on a snow machine in the area, check it out. Stop in, you`ll be happy you did!
