Louie’s On The Lake

We stopped by for late lunch. Wife and I split the club sandwich which comes with fries. When we got it I was surprised that there was so little on this big plate. The sandwich was good, but there was no garnish. The sandwich was pressed with lots of meat. You'd think they could add a bit of lettuce or something to not make it look so sparse.Then when we left she told us it was $5 burger day. Why didn't she mention it before we ordered. Duh....

So we always stop at Louie's finer meats the best market within 100 miles.We ordered takeout and the lady said about 15 minutes we drive up and it was super hot and delicious and ready in fifteen minutes.Forget about Mc Donald's Burger King and all the others Louie's has the best fries around and the sandwiches we ordered we top notch food from Louie's finer meats.Im ready planing on going back this Thursday taking a longer route but the food.

This isn't your ypical pizza or burger joint. This is way better! We had a very tough time deciding what to have for lunch. The Pot Roast Burger (dang that sounds tasty), Baonator BLT (oh, man, I love lots of bacon on a BLT!), Louies Italian Roast Beef (yum, served on a garlic butter hoagie bun) or one of their amazing Paninis? How to choose?We decided on the Italian roast beef, and it was great. I'm going to admit I have a problem with lunch places, especially when I come after the noon rush because so many times the French fries are sad, barely warm wilted fries and the hot sandwich isn't much better. Let me tell you right now that Louies makes sure the hot sandwiches are steaming hot and the fries are crispy and right out of the fries. I was in lunch heaven!Just know all the restaurant meat comes from their own butcher shop right down the street, Louie's Finer Meats, another must stop when in town. Both places will bring joy to your taste buds!

Formally known as Sammy's pizza back in the day, Louie's has transformed the space into casual dining right on Beaver Dam Lake in Cumberland. The patio is cozy and I ordered the coco chicken salad and a basket of fries. The service is always top notch and it's one of the only restaurants in town that does breakfast. From Friday fish fry to homemade soup, you can't go wrong. Their sister shop is Louie's Meats just up the road so don't forget to support both places. Cumberland is just the greatest. Enjoy!

Poor service. Cold food. Will not return.There are better places not far ... Do yourself a favor and avoid this one.

Stopped in for breakfast and decided to split the pizza. WOW! The gravy was spot-on and the toppings were perfectly balanced and very well done. A friend had the Denver omelette with hash browns. They were perfectly crispy and the Denver was fluffy and flavorful. Friendly staff and delicious drinks. We will be visiting here often.

After a recommendation from family, we had high hopes for Louie's. We had seen the cute little restaurant a few times as we passed through the area for an annual camping trip. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed. Our whole group works at a family owned restaurant, so we know first hand unexpected things happen and the restaurant might not always give its best showing. That being said, the staff needs to own that and still give their guests the best experience possible. This was our primary issue with the service we received. When the food was taking longer than it should have due to an issue in the kitchen, our waitress seemed to vanish. We had to seek out staff to find out why part of our order was taking over an hour and a half (2 pizzas) as the rest of the food had been delivered and consumed while half our table waited for theirs and then hunt down someone for refills. We thought we had resolution when a pizza showed up. It was only one pizza and not a kind that we had ordered. Overall service was very slow and it felt as if we an inconvenience. The only reason for two stars is because some of the food we did receive was pretty tasty. The fries were crispy and well seasoned and the Big Louie Burger was pretty decent as well. Not exciting enough to come back for but at least the stop wasn't a total bust.

We decided to try Louie's based on other Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. The menu was very interesting with several out-of-the-ordinary offerings and it took awhile for us to decide what we would order! We really enjoyed our meals and will definitely go there again. Server was delightful, too!

Hot fresh food, clean dining experience with nice views. The staff was friendly and service was good. Great place to stop in if you are looking for a local bite. Single room bathrooms were small clean, and updated.

Louie's on the lake is great! The food is sooo good and the service is top notch! With the lakeside setting and beautiful patio it is a true Gem in Cumberland!
