Louie’s Bar and Bites

Just passing through on our way up North. The food was ok. It was a cute place and the service was good. Husband was not a big fan of the soup, my Ruben was good. Would try again.

Was in Hayward for a buisness trip and the grill was the only joint serving food by the time I got done with work. I didn't catch the bartenders name but he was super cool about me arriving like 5 minutes before grill officially closed. He dialed up a fantastic super spicy burger with tons of jalapeño and pepper jack cheese. Was smoothed out by some new glarus. Had a fun chat with a local character to make the night complete. Highly recommend this joint

Cheeseburger was excellent and I liked the chips better than the fries. Cold beer, good food , good friendly service. What more could you want?

I was in town for work and saw that this place got a good review. It's small bar (looks like beer/wine only)/restaurant. Service was fast maybe because I was the only customer at 6 on a Monday. I had the BLT and beef barley soup that I'm sure was homemade. The soup was very good, the BLT just what I wanted. It seems like a neighborhood kind of place, a few others came in while I was there and they all knew each other. Nothing fancy at all but good inexpensive food.

Best soup around, different soup every day. Me like soup. My go-to spot for food and a good time.

Terrible service from a lady by the name of Julie....no napkins (had to wait until 90% finished with meal before getting them) asked for limes and got one shriveled up lime. The chili was a bowl of stewed tomatoes from which I realized after one bite and told the server that I didn't like it. She took it back then still charged me 50% of the price?!!! I didn't even eat it!! Bad service! all the way around. Been there before when owner was there... great service from him that's why I returned and brought family with. Wont be returning again. Its a shame she ruined it for us AND a shame I had to pay for anything for a meal I found unappetizing and did not eat....

Stopped in for the first time after hearing about the good food and people running it. Shame on me for not going sooner. By far the best burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries etc. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and obviously knows what they are doing! It goes without saying that this has become a regular stop after work for sure! Up next....pizza!

Very slow service, far from the best burger in Hayward, highly dissatisfied with both service and food, was looking forward to the 'best burger in town' it was sloppy and tasteless. chili was good. Not sure if it was an off day or what but I'm not going to patronize them again.

This is cute little restaurant/Pub. I don't know if they are a new business or not. I have never heard of them before. We called to see if they could accommodate a table for 7. They could. It's very clean & decorated super cute! I love the yellow stools. They are understaffed. We waited over an hour for our food. There were only two ladies working the bar & the kitchen. The food was only ok. The menu is small but that is s good thing. Bar food & actual burgers & sandwiches & soups. For Hayward, this is a super cute find! I just think they were very understaffed. Another table of 6 came in after us. It's Labor Day weekend - Hayward is crazy busy.
