Loretta Steakhouse

Saturday during a holiday weekend, they were packed, it was crazy, our waitress was running around like a maniac, but she was amazing and friendly, drinks were great, soup was so flavorful, food was excellent, steaks were done beautifully. Will definitely go back!Only thing that could have been better was that I ordered onions with my steak and I could have used 3 times more than what they gave me, but was still great.

Been here about five times. First two were amazing, after that, not so much. The food has always been good to excellent. The service has gone down hill, way down hill! We were there in a group of four, two couples. We sat at a high bar table and waited for service. An older woman showed-up and was acting frazzled. She had a bar rag in her hand, placed it on the table and asked us to wipe the table because she couldn't reach it. We all looked at each other and helped her out. She took our drink orders, brought them back and took our food orders. Besides her complaining about being too busy and the bar rag thing, everything was normal at this point. We didn't see her again for 45 minutes. A different waiter dropped off our food, I went to the bar for more drinks and we were on our own. No one checked on us until I went to the bar to ask if we could have our checks. The management needs to review the service here. The food is good, but the service, or lack of, leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Went to Loretta Steakhouse tonight. Busy when we arrived, but found a table. Our drinks were tasty, but had to wait a while to see any waitress. Fish and ribs were very good, but never got my dinner salad, no butter for baked potato, no water after numerous requests. No one came to ask if we needed anything. Heard others saying their orders were wrong as well. Just sad, not enough help and stressed waitresses. (Ours never smiled, never told us her name, never apologized about missing food). Getting really frustrated every dinner out is no longer enjoyable.

Great steaks, shrimp, and appetizers in a casual atmosphere. One of our go to places when we are at the cabin.

The staff was very accommodating when we asked if we might sit outside due to covid 19 concerns. The outside dinning area had obviously not been open. Our waitress was very pleasant and the food overall was quite good. A manager popped out to make sure everything was satisfactory while making sure to socially distance. Very homey environment . Highly recommend.

What a great place!!! We passed this restaurant on our way to Minocqua (from Stone Lake) and on the way home, stopped in for dinner. The gal bartender was super sassy and really fun! What a sweetheart with a great, quick sense of humor. I ordered the special which was ribs and broasted chicken. My husband had the meatloaf. The salads were a bit on the teeny-side, but OMG were the ribs and chicken good!!! Loved the bbq sauce on the ribs and the chicken was crispy outside and tender inside. My husband's meatloaf came on top of the mashed potatoes with the gravy around the outside like a moat. Unfortunately, when he cut into the meat, the potatoes pushed out and absorbed all of the gravy. (we should have asked for more gravy) . But we let the bartender-gal know, so that perhaps if they put the potatoes on one side of the bowl and the meat and gravy on the other, the gravy won't disappear. Several other patrons came in, all cheery and enjoying being there. It's clear everyone loves the place. It's a 45 minute drive from Stone Lake, but well worth the trip, and we will return.
