LivINN Hotel St. Paul - I-94 - East 3M Area

Unbelievably horrible customer service. Wouldn't let 2 guests check in from our block of 5 rooms due to the ineptness of the front end staff understanding what a credit pre authorization form is. We ended up cancelling our multiple night stay and rebooking elsewhere in the area after being treated poorly by the entitled front desk clerk. Unfortunate that their poor attitudes will cause them to miss out on businesses booking blocks of rooms.

Jan 2021: Not a very good experience. First of all, the workers there that helped us, didn't even have the masks on properly. Place seemed a little sketchy, because I would see few guests that didn't look right. We were placed on the first floor all the way in the back. As we were walking down the hallway, I can smell weed. (This was practically the whole 4 days we were there.) Sadly, our first night sucked, because there was a guest staying in the next room, w/ a guy who was cheating on his wife, apparently. Basically, him and his mistress had a few nights at this hotel. They argued right in front of the hallway so everyone can hear their business. Saying, "why are you going back to your wife" etc. After that argument, a couple hours later, guess what happened? Moaning sounds, very loud ones too. Yes folks, that happened. You know what that means. They had no respect for the other guests staying there. I understand this is not the hotels fault, but it added to my bad opinion about this place. Again, sketchy...The bathroom was quite small, but it didn't bother me too much. It's just that, the drain really sucked in the tub. It took forever for the water to go down the drain. I didn't want my feet in dirty water, you know what I mean? Same with the sink, but not as bad as the tub. The only good thing about our hotel room was that they had a microwave and fridge. If they didn't have that, this place would've been a total dump, no doubt. Also, what was nice was that the bed was very comfy. They actually skipped a day of housekeeping, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Honestly, will not be staying here again. I didn't feel as comfortable, especially after the first night. Sketchy people around & smell of weed. . Just keep that in mind.

The absolute worst experience I've had from an entitled millennial in customer service at the front desk. Upon my arrival Anad was not at front desk nor anywhere in the area. When I shouted HELLO she starts to saunter down the hall exiting from some guest room. I could not abide this attitude so my sister was going to manage our check in. But Anad would not allow her to do so. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS DISRESPECT.

This is a great, affordable hotel. The lobby is clean and modern and the staff are super friendly. Our room was wonderful! Very clean and the bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. There was a desk with a nice chair and two other chairs, one was really nice recliner. There's a free breakfast, which included freshly made pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, an assortment of bread, yogurt, cereal, danishes, milk, coffee, and juice. The only negative was the tub drained so slowly that by the time my shower was over, I was standing in 3 or 4 inches of water. Overall it's a great place to stay!!

Rooms are small with double beds. Not great for a family of four. Breakfast was good . Clean room and xcept for musty smell. Black mold behind toilet.

Everything. I have to give this rating a star. How many stars would I accurately give them? -10. When we pulled up there were some very shady off putting people hanging around outside. Then you walk in and it is like a really sketchy vibe and it is clearly dirty. The pictures make it look nice so you think that you're getting a good deal. In reality the price is higher than the people hanging around the place. The room also wasn't any cleaner than the rest of the place, the water for a shower wasn't warm, it gave us the urge to leave almost immediately but we had already paid for our room and it was just one sleepless uncomfortable night. The bed was stiff like boards. The breakfast left a lot to be desired (which was fine, I sure didn't want to eat there after the rest of the experience.) The room was dirty so they clearly don't do great with house keeping. There were stained towels in our bathroom. The kitchen staff was strange. The next morning they were all just outside looming about staring and acting strange. We definitely will not be back to this....place. I am sure homeless shelters are nicer.

Pleasantly surprised for the price! Weather marooned me in MSP for the evening and I found this place on Expedia. Cutely remodeled; super clean; friendly staff who seem to enjoy their work. If I'm stranded again due a Minnesota blizzard, I'd definitely come back!

Had a stay at this hotel in July of 2021. You would expect this far into a pandemic for a clean room. Our room was far from clean. There was hair everywhere. When I say everywhere I mean in the bed, the shower, the floor, wherever you can think of. Dog hair, body hair, pubic hair, you name it. The bed was terrible and was completely broken in. To put the cherry on top, we go to breakfast an hour before checkout. We get back to our room, which still has our property in it, and our room was open! No one down the hall could be found, no one in the room. All of my things could have been stolen. Thankfully the breakfast was gross so I wasn't downstairs too long. Let's just say I would rather sleep on a park bench than stay here again. Please check out my photos.

Hotel is a bit sketchy, they are trying hard, but have a ways to go. Neutral feelings, plenty of room for improvement. I don't think I would recommend it to my friends.

THE PROS: We believe ventilation is key in avoiding COVID. You can open the windows on second through 4th floors. This hotel is newer, so in great shape with a tasteful modern decor. We chose the large king room. There is a microwave and medium sized refrigerator in the room. Breakfasts should be pre-ordered on a short menu, that includes eggs, sausage, Canadian bacon, pancakes, pastries, muffins, two cereals, and two juices. There is a small outdoor space where we went to eat every morning. THE CONS: Some of the other guests were questionable. You will see people hanging out in the parking lot. The fire pit never worked while we were there. We asked that they open the windows in advance of our arrival. Not only did they not do that, but tried to give us a non-opening window room on the first floor. Check your bill, as ours was not the quoted rate.
