Lindey's Prime Steak House

Come here if you are hungry for meat and want a friendly, old-school dining experience. It feels like an old-school supper club because it is: Several rooms joined together, wood paneling, chatty waitresses in dressed in black. When you sit down they bring a sign on a stand over to your table. That is the menu. There are four options: Deluxe Prime Steak, Prime steak, Shrimp, or Chopped Steak. All four come with an iceberg lettuce salad with thousand island dressing, a side of hash browns, and a basket of garlic bread. You can buy an order of broiled mushrooms for an extra $10 or so.We opted for the deluxe, and I ordered mine medium rare. The thing was so huge that it was practically mooing in the middle. I think next time I would get it medium. There is an option to pay extra for a plate and share a steak, which we did not do. This was a mistake. I had no clue that the steak would be roughly 1/4 of a cow when we ordered. My dining companion and I will be eating leftover meat for the next week.Our waitress was delightful and the service was attentive but not smothering. We were too stuffed to attempt dessert.

Literally sitting at Lindey's right now. In fact, been just sitting here for a very very very very long time. A whole lotta nothing happening! I am so angry!Finally got our pops. And here we sit again. No bread. No pop refill yet. At this length, I should be on my 3rd or 4th pop! I can hardly sit here anymore!!!!Absolutely terrible!!!Don't come here today! You'll leave. A lot of sitting around waiting for nothing!!

Stopped here for my birthday club dinner. Got here early and enjoyed a table with a view and a nice quiet atmosphere. This iconic mainstay of the Twin Cities is decorated tastefully like a cabin and the staff are as nice as your grandma cooking you an amazing meal. It is also celebrating their 65th anniversary!! The menu has not changed and that is perfectly ok! Not many choices but every choice is the right one. There are 4 dinner choices and you can add two things-mushrooms and/or a piece of cheesecake. I ordered the Lindey's Special Sirloin with mushrooms. The special is the middle cut and the flavor was so delish. I ordered it medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. It's accompanied by a salad, garlic bread and a hashbrown potato dish. The mushrooms are a huge helping and are marinated and yummy. The salad was nice and fresh, the garlic bread comes out warm and the potatoes are a great comfort food. I also had a champagne cocktail and it was tasty. I love the ambience and the super friendly staff. This is a treasure of a place and I def recommend!!

An amazing ode to the Supper Club. In fact this place has been around long enough to define "supper club", warm cozy cabin feel, with warm wood paneling, gracious hosts and attentive staff with a bartender always at the ready incase the business lunch worked out, or didn't. I've lunched here several times and been for the dinner menu a few times. It's a date night hang for sure, but an easy choice for lunch - heck for what you'd get a burger for in any other establishment, you can grab a steak sandwich with fixins and a side salad and be ahead of the game. Stop in, kick back and enjoy!

We had to cancel and it broke my heart! A bit of the flu hit our house...sigh...I was so ready for Lindey's tonight and my friend's birthday celebration!!! Next week for sure!! The best in beef....ALWAYS!!!

I was here last week and I'm coming tomorrow again for Valentine's Day! .Better everytime we come .Bill the manager said the family are awesome!! .Looking forward to tomorrow

Good service and great steak.We had a large party and they were able accommodate us and keep up with everyone. I'll be back.

Was a horrible first time experience. The waitresses nose kept running down to her lip. The steaks we got were rock hard, difficult time cutting them even more difficult trying to chew them. Was seated next to waitress station, always someone walking behind to place orders. Won't be back. Not worth $42 a person.

Steak was tough.. my husband and I ordered the best cut and the brought us a roast. I wanted mine medium and he wanted medium rare. So i had to eat the ends abd he ate the middle. And neither were cooked right. Even the salad was disappointing. Outback is much better and the price is half. And you get two separate steaks cooked right.
