This coffee shop is our favorite. They have fabulous ladies that work there. If you come in with a positive attitude you will get positive back. We bought our cabin 5 years ago and our entire family loves our coffee time there. We love giving back to our local community. Sometimes there can be a wait but this is not a Caribou or Starbucks, so if you want that experience travel to Baxter. These folks work their tails off. We love them and appreciate the small town atmosphere. Great coffee, lovely people.

The gang at Lifehouse Coffee in Pine River provide an extremely friendly and cordial setting for grabbing a very good cup of coffee and pastry. They are affiliated with the Riverside Church located right behind their building.Easy five stars for the warm welcome and engaging manner of the two guys manning the espresso machine and the register. Being a small town, you don't get the frenetic slam dance barista mode found in big cities where efficiency and speed are the overwhelming driving factors. The guys at Lifehouse take the time to make you feel genuinely welcome, even as they professionally and proficiently dispatch their duties.I chose, from their nicely extensive menu, a massive mocha that added caramel (in the 20 oz range I think) and a blueberry scone. The mocha was delightfully flavored; rich & robust, complex & sweet. While the scone was smaller than most, it was only a couple bucks vs the usual $3-$4 cost. So the value ratio was good. They source these locally, so it indicates their community commitment. They also had some large muffins in the case that looked good. There was plenty of seating and the premises were clean. This is obviously a regular spot with locals, given the friendly greetings and banter I witnessed. So if you find yourself in the North Woods with a need for some caffeine jack-me-up, stop into Lifehouse Coffee in Pine River and let the very friendly folks behind the counter put some shine in your day.

Great friendly staff and good coffee. A wonderful coffee shop in the winter because it is very cozy. Has private spaces for business meetings and delicious goods from the local bakery.

We were traveling through the area and stopped for a coffee. The spacious and tasteful decorations were welcoming and the two workers were cheerful and friendly. My husband was amazed with a "Carmel roll latte". I thoroughly enjoyed every drop of an iced latte. I can't wait until or adventures being us through this area again! Truly a pleasure to stop for a drink!

coffee is decent but customer service is not good. I ordered a coffee and they told me they would not make what i wanted because they were "too busy" but my group and I were the only people there.

Lifehouse is awesome. A warm, welcoming space with fabulous folks who are all about kindness and service. Go there and you'll find everything from toddlers on the floor to groups of seniors countering cabin fever. Great locally roasted coffee, and all sorts of snazzy drinks. Definitely try the oatmeal and the coffee cake!

Just OK. Coffee is kind of bitter and drinks are about the same as you get at other places. the interior is cabin feeling so there are enough places to sit.
