Basically Denny's with nicer silverware.Food is not great, undercooked Hash browns, Overcooked pretty much everything else. Sam's club must have had a sale on shitty cheese.Waitstaff moves at the speed of smell! NOT TRAINED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!If you happen to drive by, KEEP GOING!

I've heard good things about this place, but unfortunately I wasn't blown away. I met a friend for dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday. No reservations, but there was plenty of seating. We were promptly greeted by our server and she was pleasant through the entire meal. The reason for my disappointment was that our onion ring order was delivered well past when we received our meal. When this happens it's pretty annoying. I can understand if it's a weekend and it occasionally happens due to the kitchen being behind, but it was a Tuesday. We were given an apology, but were charged for the order. I don't expect free food, but it would be nice to have a discount on an appetizer that was delivered well past the meal. They were good onion rings though. The burger was an average burger, but the bun was a little hard. I was also charged extra for dipping sauces we didn't receive. Normally, I have no problem correcting the issue right there on the spot, but I suddenly felt ill and needed to leave (unrelated to restaurant experience). I am realizing when I choose to dine out, I need to order my meal after the appetizer is delivered to avoid this issue in the future.

Popular Woodbury society hangout spot. Really good food and service is always great. The variety of the menu is considerable and the quality of each item we've had is really good too. Meatballs, wings, nachos, salads, burgers, chicken, etc. it has all been very good. Great spot for groups and sports events but it gets noisy so just don't go expecting a nice, quiet dinner.

My first time at Tavern! Look at the portion of the nachos!! When they brought it out I was shocked how big it is. You will not be disappointed in the portion size. You get a choice of meat and I got chicken...so yummy! I also got the bourbon bacon burger. This is topped with smoked gouda cheese, black truffle aioli, crispy onion and warm bacon jam. Everything about this sounds amazinggg and the portion was huge. The flavor was definitely there every bite I had. I went during dinner, it got a little busy but the staff was fast and attentive. I like the layout of the restaurant and I would love to try out their happy hour. I recommend to try this place out!

Strip mall sports bar right off the highway? Yeah, I will check in outI had seen some posts on their social media about the nachos and I love nachos so let's good. It's a nice sized space. Kind of generically decorated and boring but spacious and comfortable. Plenty of large TVs to indulge in any sport of your choice. Bellied up as in always do. It was a Sunday, early afternoon, durning March madness. I wouldn't say packed but definitely busy. Service was weird. Could have been much, much better. Bartenders were just being lazy. Like I said, I came for the nachos. There happen to be a build your own bloody bar so I started with that. Phenomenal! Nice selection of spirits, mixes, toppings, and sauces. And for a $7.50 price tag there is nothing to complain about. Also ordered nachos. They were GREAT. Sheet style with a load of toppings. Fresh, nicely seasoned. Honestly delicious. So good, I am excited to try more. Bloody was great. Nachos were great. Service, honesty, kinda sucked. I'm gonna give it a 4 but is more like a 3.5. This could easy be a 5. Work on your service.

We've been here several times, and I forgot to take photos of the food, but this was our first time going there for brunch.I've got to say, this is one of the best omelettes I've had in a very long time. They use double smoked ham, which has so much flavor, and I added onions and peppers to the ham and cheese omelette to make it a Denver. The toppings to egg ratio was exactly right, and it was cooked with just the right touch of golden brown. Also, the breakfast cocktails were supreme (try the pear Bellini). The SO said that his cinnamon roll pancakes were also delectable.It's nice to have this restaurant a little out-of-the-way from the hustle and bustle of Woodbury and to have a place where you can get seated very quickly.

I am a sucker for a good Bloody Mary bar, especially after the Wild Onion shut down years ago. Lakewood is now filling the void of a truly build your own bloody bar (pour your own Vodka, choose your own mix, etc.).While the strip mall facade isn't anything special, Lakewood is a comfortable sports bar and they've recently just opened their patio for dining al fresco. The menu has a pretty long list of pub grub favorites (i.e., burgers, wings, tacos, pizzas, etc.) and it delivers on serving up pretty good bar food. They also have a pretty extensive tap list and good happy hour specials.If you're looking to grab a few drinks or some casual eats, Lakewood is one of the better options in an area where there aren't many.

Great food, ambience and service! The parking lot is smaller for so many popular businesses using it. It took a few minutes of driving around to find a spot. It was worth it though because the food was great! It was super busy for a Friday after work, but the service was very prompt! Great experience and would definitely visit again.

This review is specifically for their breakfast which I have had twice. Overall, good quality food at reasonable prices! Pros:*new and clean *great natural light *quick and efficient service *plenty of TV's for games *nice patio area * good drink specials *good quality food at reasonable prices *bloody mary bar (seems nice, haven't tried it)Cons: *menu needs an update (pricing and hours) Certainly worth stopping by for a taste!

Lakewood Tavern - Lake Elmo, MN - (December 5, 2024)This was our first visit to Lakewood Tavern, and we were impressed by how clean and spacious the place is. The bar area features booths along the windows, and there are two dining rooms. Despite being very busy, the atmosphere remained comfortable. With large-screen TVs all around, it's definitely a great spot for sports fans.We tried the Bulgogi Bowl and the Chili Lime Shrimp Bowl. Both dishes were enjoyable. The Bulgogi Bowl ($17.99) features Korean-style spicy beef with onions, peppers, green beans, carrots, sesame seeds, and broccoli, served with either rice or rice noodles. We opted for the noodles. The dish was flavorful, but I wouldn't categorize it as "extra spicy" as the menu suggests.The Chili Lime Shrimp Bowl, a seasonal item, was outstanding. It included sautéed shrimp, mango salsa, candied jalapeños, pickled red onion, avocado, and lettuce, all served over either white rice or noodles (I chose rice). The dish had a burst of flavor, with a nice kick from the jalapeños and a tangy punch from the pickled onions. The shrimp was tender and perfect. Next time, I'd likely go with the noodles, as I am a pasta person, although the rice was fine. We couldn't finish either bowl--they're definitely hearty portions.Our server was not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The menu is extensive, so there's truly something for everyone. We're looking forward to returning and trying more dishes.
