Service is great !Food is consistently good. Breakfast and lunch - The soups are delicious! I love the fish fry.

Outstanding little gem. We rolled up on a Friday morning and besides the one table of locals we were the only people in the place. Really great macchiato and the farmers omelet was huge and tasty. My husband had the French toast and said it was good too!

Awesome little cafe with great food and wonderful service. This place is a great find and our breakfast was amazing. Lots of choices and we will be back!!!!

The food here is downright delish. Everything is made to order. We always come here for breakfast when we are up at the cabin. It's like the only time I ever drink coffee. Usually I get a skillet or just the Lakewood this time they had chicken fried steak as a special and it was oh so good.I've been coming here over 10 years now. Hunting season can get a little busy but its worth the wait. I have to remember to try a piece of pie next time.

Reliable little restaurant we like to go to when we visit the cabin. Very cheap, good sized portions, and tasty food. Service is always very good too for there usually only being one waitress. Fast, friendly, attentive. Great to have around when there aren't many option unless you drive 40 min!

We were staying in Winter for a few days. There aren't too many options for dining, but fortunately Lakewood Cafe is an exceptional place for breakfast or lunch. (They weren't open for dinner while we were there, but I understand they may be during the summer?)My personal recommendation - the "Benny Skillet". Take a typical skillet breakfast, but add Hollandaise and a wonderful ham steak - yeah - it's a cross between a skillet and eggs benedict. And it's absolutely delicious.I had one lunch here - A Reuben. And it was maybe the best Reuben I've ever had.I had a second breakfast - this time the Hungry Man. Everything was perfect.I would eat here any time. The food was just great. The service was very good. The prices are fair.

Most of the food I have tried so far has been pretty good. Which makes this next part confusing. I live in the area and eat here fairly regularly and I have yet to have my hash browns cooked the way I order them. Honestly who wants mushy soggy hash browns? If that is what I wanted I would order mashed potatoes. I always specifically ask for extra crunchy hash browns. I even sent the plate back once to get them cooked to order and they returned my plate with mushy soggy hash browns. That should be the easiest thing to cook. How can you cook everything good except this one thing?

We ate there today and it was awesome. The cheesy cauliflower soup was some of the best I've ever had. Mushroom burger and fries were delicious. We came in 15 minutes before closing and they were happy to serve us. My go to in Winter.

Love when you accidentally hit on a place and it is a huge win! Sat outside on their deck and enjoyed a wonderful pot of coffee (yes pot, not just coming back to fill up your cup thing) and great food! Highly recommend!

We love to find small town cafes for breakfast when traveling to go snowmobiling. Just heading back to MN from Michigan. Best breakfast we had during the whole trip. This place does not disappoint, so glad we found it.
