Lakewinds Food Co-op

I continue to love shopping here. They always have the freshest and best produce, as well as breadsmith, sushi, ready to eat foods, prepared ready to cook foods and dry goods. The staff at the co-op are always so kind and welcoming as well. It's a pleasant place to shop and I recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Was picking up my daughter nearby from Archery class. Had plans to hit a diffent store up the road a ways. Saw Lakewinds and forgot they had this location. Went in for King Arthur Bread flour, Rye and Whole wheat too. Planned on three mid size bags. Plans are to make some pizza crusts and play with the ratios to see how they turn out. To my delight not only did I get the King Arthur, I found locally grown rye and whole wheat in bulk bins. I got a lb of the last two to experiment in my recipes. Grabbed some yeast and tomatoes as well. Some vegan charizo. What a beautiful shop. Friendly staff and everything.

I had another fantastic experience here today. This co-op is clean, well-lighted, well-stocked, and beautifully organized. When you walk in, you can forget the hustle and bustle of the day. They have a phenomenal selection of everything, from vibrant produce that seems plucked from an artist's canvas to an expansive selection of dairy and dairy alternatives and one of the most extensive bulk spice selections I have ever laid eyes upon. (If you enjoy making your own herb blends or tea blends, you simply MUST visit. See photo--it will make you giddy!) I found a great sale on my favorite stevia and grabbed two new-to-me flavors. I also found some of my favorite herbal coffee alternative! In the aforementioned cheese department, I discovered to my delight that they offer snack-sized portions of some of the local cheeses that they stock. What a win for a cheese lover like me. The service was great--helpful and positive employees are everywhere.

Lakewinds is the best! Beautiful produce, the greatest, friendliest most knowledgeable staff. Love their pre-made foods. I've been a member for many years and shop here weekly!

This Lakewinds location is just amazing. It is super convenient to my house, carries a large selection of specialty products, has high quality meat and produce, and such friendly, lovely cashiers and staff. Becoming a member and supporting this co-op has been such a great decision.They have so many great organic products without crazy fillers and unhealthy additives so it makes it easy to find things I like. They have multiple types of pasture-raised eggs, pasture raised chicken, grass-bef beef, and heritage pork, which is otherwise a little tricky to find at stores around here. Their prices aren't always the lowest in town but they do have good sales on items at times and co-op members can get 5% off once a month. If you are a senior, you get 5% off by shopping here on a Tuesday. They also have Wellness Wednesday on the second Wednesday of the month, where you can get 10% off body care and supplements.The cashiers here are generally super friendly and lovely. I have been to a number of health food stores with rude cashiers and employees but this has not been my experience here. Everyone I have seen working is wearing a mask. Before anyone bags my groceries, I am always asked if I want them to bag them. I have never felt concerned about them taking COVID-19 restrictions lightly.Prices may not be the cheapest in town but they have a wide selection of items, including local products. This is my go-to health food store.

I love it here! Their bulk section is amazing and everyone That works here feels like a friend. All people in every department are very helpful and knowledgeable. Their produce selection is fresh and high-quality the displays are always so pristine and looks so good! I love coming here to grocery shop as well as shop for all my beauty and wellness products.

Excellent smoothies! Will go back again for the Starbust smoothie. Fast and friendly service.

I just discovered this co-op and it is the only one I go to now. Besides carrying all organic, fabulous produce, the store offers so much more than other co-ops. I left with a lot more than I expected, but we have eaten everything I purchased there and loved it. The staff is so welcoming and wonderful. So incredibly helpful and friendly! I'm going back soon.

So I am a regular at this co-op. But maybe not after today. I sampled a small tidbit from the hot salad bar and the little dude with the sideway baseball cap that apparently cooks behind the scenes for kitchen proceeded to follow me around for the next 20 minutes after scolding me for sampling the food. Literally stalked me. Followed me to register. Nuts!!!!! Seriously I literally spend probably $400 month here. They need to get rid of the sketchy people working there. The hot food was inedible after all which isn't a surprise given this cook. Wedge co- op encourages sampling. They need to watch who they hire. Probably not going back.

Love this place. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Most of my favorites go on same regularly. Been going here so long it just kinda feels like home.
