This place is a Minnesota establishment! The owner Ruth and her chef husband are some of the kindest people I have ever met in my life. They have been serving my family since my grandparents generation. The food is mainly American Chinese, however they have an awesome selection of Cantonese food as well! Please do yourself a favor and try the chow fun noodles (which the owners proudly cook fresh instead of the normal packaged ones served elsewhere). I am looking forward to taking the next generation of family here when my baby is born.

The atmosphere and staff were very nice. The decor was that of a basic strip mall Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately the general so chicken was over cooked. And the lemon chicken had to much batter. I'll go back again to see if it was just a bad night.

Pretty good, but I got a few pieces of chicken that were not great tasting in my sweet and sour chicken the cream cheese wontons were good! And the order was ready when I arrived to pick it up, which was better than some Chinese takeout places.

I wish I could update my comments in the photos as I jumped the gun in leaving my ratings, minus about 3 points from each of those photos.The egg rolls are ok, but the chicken birds nest had some chewy gritty chicken parts that I didn't hit until later on. The only real good part of the birds nest was the nest itself, which is a homemade crispy tortilla. The chicken with garlic lunch special was quite awful, my gf ordered it I only could have a few bites. Sauce is way too heavy with a nasty aftertaste, rice was dull. Location is difficult, I didn't even realize there was a small strip mall there and had to call a friend to help navigate us around. Interior is quite small and the bathrooms were disgusting, the light switch wall plate has turned brown with dirt (or food?).In reality this place is about a 2, but I have to give it a 1 as I haven't had much worse Chinese in my life. The server had a bluetooth headset on and was talking to someone on the phone the entire time we were there. I must have looked up a half dozen times thinking he was talking to us when he was really on the phone. There is an overabundance of Asian restaurants in the city and you don't need to make LCR one of them to visit.

The sweet and sour chicken was 2/3 full of over-cooked chicken and 1/3 full of shredded carrots and dry chunks of pineapple. The sesame chicken, ordered off the "Szechuan Cuisine" category on the menu, was not even remotely spicy. That container was not filled to the top either and the bottom 1/4 of the container was cabbage and tiny bits of something. The extra white rice and fried rice (which is a $2.00 up-charge) were in 8 oz containers. The cream cheese puffs were stale. Not filling the containers and then having terrible food is not worth even 1 star.

This place is awful. The chow mein looks disgusting not even full noodles! The box with the mongolian beef was only half full. U have ONE job. Do better this place is garbage

Our favorite restaurant in Lakeville. Lakeville Chinese has been run by the same dedicated family for decades. We always get a smile and excellent service whether we eat in or takeout. Their food is alway wonderful and ready when we walk through the door. Nice to see this outstanding place stand the test of time and emerging chain competition. Wonderful people and excellent food.
