Lakes Tavern

Lakes Tavern continues to get better. We have had several stays recently and loved all of our food. The Blackened Grouper is very nice. Good sized portion with a decent amount of heat. The Jambalaya is very tasty with a lot of depth and makes for a hearty meal. The burgers are all good. The salads are well made with excellent dressings. The spicy Thai salad remains spicy in a good way, but beware. My only issues are small and mostly involve the drinks. They really need big ice cubes a a few more good, classic cocktails. Also the noise level remains high in the main room, but seems better than before.

Service? Amazing. Food? Delicious. Drinks? Perfect. After a long day out on the boat, and all of the restaurants on the lake having a 1+ hour wait, my family of 6 was happy to find the Lakes Tavern without a wait. We were quickly seated, and had the most lovely waiter. She was knowledgeable, but honest. Which we always appreciate. My family shared the cheese curds - very flavorful!My family ordered the following: fettuccine x2, seafood linguine, dive in burger, petite sirloin, & the spicy Thai Salas. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Interesting menu. Nice place, nice atmosphere. Service was good. Food was ok. I would try it again.

The Caesar's salad was tiny servred on a small plate. The crab cake were HORRIBLE. Very fishy tasting and expensive.

Wonderful experience, great food and we enjoy sitting outside. Service is outstanding.

The BEST patty melt I've ever had. Just get it. Perfect combo of cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms. Burger was cooked to perfection. Toast was spot on.
