I am a regular here, I have been afraid of telling people how amazing this place is and affecting my ability to get seated. There is a magical Disney princess waitress KP who makes you feel so welcome and appreciated, she remembers my order and my take out for hubby (better than I do) she is an excellent bartender too. The food here is always delicious. The catches are: no other waitstaff go above and beyond like KP does, in fact when she is not my server, my husband gets massively different take out meal every time. He orders a burrito with two customizations and last time he got a taco salad. Also other bartenders make drinks too strong and the flavor is not the same. There is one hostess on Friday nights who is very crabby when you request your favorite waitress even when arriving more than an hour before dinner rush.

I would return here for their Arbol pepper salsa alone. It came as a condiment with the street tacos and was fabulous. Rather spicy , but flavorful with some smoke hints as well. I had the Arroz con Mariscos which was shrimp, scallops and crab. I enjoyed it greatly. The place was very busy with limited tables. We are ate at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable about the food and helpful in guiding us through the menu.

Such a great place! All the staff was so nice, our waitress was so fun!We had two toddlers plus 5 adults. It is a smaller place, but that didn't make it fall short on the food. All our dishes were yummy! The steak fajitas and china fajita and burritos were so good!!

Lets start with being from Dallas I was a bit put off by the waiter explaining to me that black beans and refried beans were the same thing... I stared at him blankly then it dawned on me I'm in Minnesota in a small town so I guess a lot of folks don't get real Mexican food up here and the stereotypes are true "They don't like it to spicy up here don't ya know"That being said it was not bad one of the loaded special burrito It was served dry to my surprise it was ok but would of been way better with some queso on it my bad for not asking over all I rated it a 4 but was closer to a 3.5 compared to one of the places in Texas but not bad just not great .It is in a store mall so really convenient has a decor very similar to many mall spots in AZ. Overall I would go again but I would bring my own jalapeños lol uff da

My first plate everything was cold. I sent it back. They brought it back and said they'll give me a different chimichanga, but the chimichanga was burnt. I guess they were getting me back for sending food back. I've been there many times and loved the food but may reconsider going back again. My friend specifically said no beans they brought her plate with beans and not just a double rice after she told the server twice.

Solid Mexican joint in Watertown with a full bar, good service, and a fun vibe. The address on Yelp took us to the wrong spot - the restaurant is next to the grocery store downtown. We ordered a California Burrito, Flautas, and the Steak and Shrimp. The steak had too much stuff on it, but otherwise was good, and we found the chicken Flautas were better than the beef. The Burrito was the best meal of the three and I would definitely order it again.

I love spicy food and I love Mexican food. La Catrina took me completely by surprise. I was brought there by a buddy that lives in Watertown. The location and space is very unassuming. Put plainly - its tiny. For such a small place the menu is HUGE! So many options. The place is known for the Watertown Burrito - it is incredible! HUGE and stuffed with everything under the sun (including french fries).I went with my classic order of chicken enchiladas and my buddy got the Discada burrito. When I asked the server to make it spicy they nodded and walked me through my sauce options. I settled on a habanero sauce. HOLY SH*T! It was super hot. Not only my dish, but my buddies dish that I sampled also had my mouth ablaze. It was amazing. Can't wait to go back and suffer through the delicious heat again! If you are not a spice/heat oriented eater, beware!

I have to admit when I heard "You gotta try this Mexican place" I thought "I've heard that before." So many small town Midwestern Mexican places serve the same tired menu with fake Margaritas. So I went here with some skepticism. I'm glad I did. The top shelf Margarita was excellent, the food was all homemade, and the waitress was friendly and knew all of the locals who came in. Great experience from start to finish. Give it a try!
