Kowalski's Uptown Market

What a treasure outside of downtown! When visiting a town for the first time, it's great to check out the local grocery store. After walking the sculpture garden we just drove around and needed a light meal.Score! This place is amazing. A pho / ramen bar???!! Never seen this in Cali. A make your own burrito bowl, pasta bar, wing bar, salad bar, soup bar, hot foods like chicken, meatloaf and more! I picked up a piece of roasted dark meat chicken and some spinach from the salad bar for my own salad. Hubby got the twice chocolate croissant and I added an iced cookie. Whoa! Delicious. Hubby is really enjoying the croissant which is generously filled with hazelnut spread and then drizzled with chocolate. My cookie is a great size and perfectly soft which is exactly what I like.The non food items (clothing, accessories) are very expensive and there is a Whole Foods vibe here. There was an adorable sweater decorated with cats that would have been a great gift but not for $75.This store is a must shop so please support this local business.We have to come

What's the point of self check out if you're going to have somebody breathing down my neck the entire time I'm doing it and come up behind me and snatch things out of my hand and say " here let me ring this up for YOU" I come here almost every day for lunch and almost always harassed at the self check out! Today I got loudly accused of not paying 29 cents for a plastic bag, then when she realized that I did in fact pay for it she quietly walked away. Well thanks for embarrassing me first hah

For roughly a year, I have been meaning to visit a Kowalski's market. Why? I had heard that it offers Betty and Earl's biscuits, which locals have raved about.I had my first Betty and Earl's chocolate chip cookie at Smack Shack. It was so yummy that I knew that I needed to try a biscuit next. After a book signing at The Lynhall, I needed a drink. I was headed to Starbucks, not knowing that it was located in this Kowalski's market until I had arrived. Excellent!After getting my drink at Starbucks, I checked out the market. It's a great gourmet grocery store. I was so happy browsing.The bakery section was incredible. You could get everything from artisan bread to donuts. I found Betty and Earl's goodies. I bought a bacon cheddar biscuit and a cinnamon roll.I need to get a half portion of a fruit pie. The peach pie had caught my eye. I hope that it's there where I'm back. Otherwise, I'd be happy with whatever fruit pie is there.There was so much chocolate-covered anything here. Popcorn. Nuts. Cookies. It all blew my mind. I must get the popcorn.I absolutely loved seeing individual meals. It's perfect for someone like me who tends to stay in hotel room with a kitchenette and craves comfort food. There were comforting meals, such as goulash, mac and cheese, and penne bolognese. They looked delicious. I could totally have all of them.The beverage selection was great. There were lots of sugar-free ones. I also saw sparking and CBD beverages. Wow!This store has a wine shop. I didn't check it out, but I will next time.I had the nicest man at the cashout area. Every staff member here is so nice and he was no exception. He carefully put my baked goods in a paper bag.I paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked him, grabbed my stuff, and left.Both Betty and Earl's items that I got were delicious. The cinnamon bun was more dense than you average bun, but it had the perfect amount of cinnamon with frosting on top that wasn't overly sweet. The savoury bacon cheddar biscuit was excellent. I had it for breakfast. It was filling and perfect. I could eat one any time of day.I am definitely returning for more baked goods. I want to try the individual meals next.(438)

First time I been here in a few years..Nice store..Has a lot to offer in deli..The seating area is new with fireplaceStaff is very nice and helpful!Busy Kowalski's location..There are things at Kowalski's that you can't get anywhere else!Yummy bakery!Beautiful flowers.Love the gift area!Every Kowalski's I been to is like this.If you haven't gone to a one stop in one..

I believe this is one of the older locations from this brand, but they do an amazing job with keeping it fresh and looking great inside. The location is huge despite what it looks like outside, the building plays with the eye with its placement but inside it's huge. I saw a local musician entertaining the store, that is def a nod to how in-tune the establishment is to the community it's in. The shelves are stocked and you can find unique local items sold here. I think that's what puts Kowalski's in their own lane, they seem to work with local creatives over their peers. Parking lot can be stressful, coming off a busy street into a parking lot that isn't huge can be a lot for someone to handle. Overall experience was great, I will return and see what else I can find and talk about.

I lived very close to this Kowalski's location for 3 years and can confidently say that, even among other Kowalski's locations, this is an excellent grocery store. The staff is friendly and helpful, they have tons of prepared food options that are actually good, and they layout of the store is great. I'd highly recommend their pastries(almond croissant) and their guacamole!

I am so unbelievably uncomfortable right now. I have been a customer at Kowalski's and have loved their selection but my last visit made me feel violated. As a woman, I have pads and underwear in my bag just in case of emergency. Upon check out, I had cashier Lynn B. INSIST that she puts the groceries in my bag (what? I've never had anyone do that before here). Before she put the groceries in my bag she rifled through, touching my underwear and unused pads. At first I said no, but she gestured that she was going to do it. I have been shopping here for almost a year and now I don't want to come back because I feel violated, I feel like I'm going to cry. I don't steal, I promise. I don't not want to ever feel like this again. Lynn B. you made me so uncomfortable. Why did you do this?Please look at security cameras, look at my expression of her going through my bag. No there is no unpurchased merchandise in there.Just my underwear that I need to wash because she put her hands on it. Why would I steal from a place where people I know work?Why would I steal if caught, I would not have a chance of getting my social work license?Why would I steal from a place that I get my favorite muffins from? But now I don't want to come back here because my boundaries were crossed.

Beautiful market. The produce is beautiful and the selection of artisanal goods is outstanding. Great place for delicious pre-made foods. The NICEST employees.

Great market with excellent quality food and fantastic employees. Best meat and seafood in the twin cities!

I have shopped weekly at Kowalski's for 34 years. Today I asked for replacement for blueberries that had gone bad after 4 days in the refrigerater. The manager who sees me there weekly said,"NO." Not very kind to a customer who weekly spends over $120 per week.
