Little more in cost than L&B, but the location was convenient. We picked out some tasty items not in the Deli Department (like I thought we would), but in the sushi/rolls area. It was very nice to have everything right there: chopsticks/extra soy sauce/selection of different rolls. Michael at the register was a rock star-finding and adding a rubber band to our packaging (since the packaging probably would have popped open). We enjoyed our alfresco lunch in the park, thanks to Kowalski's (and Michael).

Great new location in Excelsior! Kowalski's is known for the quality and you won't be disappointed here. The store is bright, cheery, and laid out well. They have a great produce and meat selection! I love all the added fun merchandise with in the store! There is a Starbucks and a Wine shop attached! I mean really what else do you need! Only downside is the busy parking lot...

Great store and selection. Staff is always helpful and friendly- I really want to LOVE this store. There is so much crap in the passageways and walking spaces that shoppers are constantly walking into each other- coupled with the fact that most people in this area walk around using their phone, head in the air, and not really paying attention. Anyway remove some of the crap crowding the aisles and it'd be a ***** store.

Terrible COVID mask discipline among staff.Reported the issue via their website contact. Went back a week later and saw more problems (BUSINESSES - FACE SHIELDS OFFER NO PROTECTION FOR YOUR STAFF OR CUSTOMERS).Their contact app has a CAPTCHA that is impossible to get through. This tells me that their management JUST. DOES. NOT. CARE. ABOUT. COVID.Not shopping there again until vaccine.

Service and selection are superior in every way. From butcher explaining how to cook an item, cheese department with sampling and wonderful serving suggestions to the best breads ever. The gift dept has fabulous finds every time I come to the store and freshest fruits and vegetables. Found me a wine I could not locate anywhere else and called the moment it arrived. Yes it is expensive but this is where you go when you always want the best.

Skip the birthday cakes!Although my cake looked beautiful, it wasn't what we expected. My hub ordered vanilla buttercream and it came with some weird, gross filling and frosting. Finally figured it out it must have been their "Bavarian cream", ugg! Totally ruined it. Also the Happy Birthday was piped on a placard and stuck to the side of the cake, not on top of it. He'd ordered the champagne cake and apparently it comes with upright "petals" atop it. It was pretty to look at and the cake itself was good but the filling and frosting, beyond gross.

Best pre-made deli and marinated meat section ever! Large variety of meat cuts as well. That's all we really visit for. The rest is limited compared to other grocers. Features a cute gift shopping area in the entrance with Bachmans products.

Another amazing Twin Cities grocery store. I recently moved up here from Chicago and remain deeply impressed by your choice of grocery stores. By my count there are four super premium stores competing for your food budget dollars, and Kowalski's is my current favorite. (There is nothing comparable in the Chicago market)
