My wife and I were out and about in Edina, MN and there is a new grocery store that is very high end that opened in the Southdale Mall, the first mall in America.When you walk in you notice that there are lots of team members ready to help and they have a vast array of fresh olives, salads, deli meats, soups about everything you can think of.They even have a pizza and a burger place inside. I would have tried some pizza, but they were closed for the fourth.The have a great assortment, but everything is super expensive. Edina is considered a type of Scottsdale level type community, so I figure they think they can jack everything up 15%.Overall, I would never do everyday shopping here, especially since there is a Target across the street, but if price is of no concern, you may like it.

I had to check out Kowalskis at Southdale and I feel like this store has everything. From pho to burgers, ice cream and even growing their own basil onsite. It's definitely pricey but well organized and laid out.

Wow! What a fabulous addition to the Edina/southdale community! This is the grocery store of all grocery stores, plus some. If you can't find what you are looking for here, keep looking -- because I'm sure they have it! The offerings here are fantastic, including an amazing produce section, deli, meat counter, seafood, Starbucks, smoothies, pizza, wing bar, burgers, create your own pho and hibachi, sushi, salad and so, so much more. I'm always looking for easy and quick meal options, and I think I've found my new go-to. I go to lifetime right next door every week, so I already know I'll be stopping at this Kowalskis all the time.

Beautiful new facility with large lot and decor outside. Friendly staff at this new opening. It's like a pretty store with immaculate rows of produce, meats, deli, fresh meats that are beautiful in quality and fresh shishkabobs ready to grillDeli salads, salad bar, hot bar, sushi, breads and bakers items are fresh and high end. You will find higher prices. They pack and load and take groceries to your car if needed. Greenery and clothing up front. Everything Edina pricey. We bought whole frittata and delicious along with giant crescents, deli sandwich wraps all delicious. A place to eat fresh deli items. Beautiful store but your stars for prices. Milk was $1.00 more per half gallon. I would return for freshly made food.

Visually pretty store. Selection of cheese and counter service and expertise was very good. Pizza area is a disappointment. No pizzas to buy, no slices etc... not sure what they are there for? A few deep dish pizzas in freezer? Two people behind counter could not explain the concept. Meat and fish counter also a disappointment. Shrimp appeared wimpy. Not much selection of fresh fish. Steaks looked okay. Nothing special. Fresh vegetables looked good, but I was there to buy pre-prepared foods for a cocktail gathering. Wanted to buy fresh quac and it was packaged 2-3 days before. Some was already expired! I put in two complaints. Opened with great fanfare but I was underwhelmed.

Don't shop here as a person of color, unless you like being watched at self check out. Self checkout can be full, but it's has been my experience several times, that staff will reposition themselves to watch me pay and as soon as i do, they fall back, with no concern for whether or not "other people" pay. Sad experiences each time.
