I really wanted to like this coffee shop...it's right off the Hardwood Creek Trail. I had envisioned bringing a bike group in for snacks & drinks while on a ride-there's a bike rack at the back of the building. There were a lot of customers using the drive-thru. The latte was boring...even gas station coffee would have been a better choice (and cheaper, too). Maybe next time I will try another beverage, if we stop here.

They have a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The coffee tastes good and is reasonably priced. I like that they have a patio in the front (though it can get loud with the road right by it). Definitely a good place to get coffee if you are in the area.

Came in on a Saturday. Two females working. Literally stood two feet from the cash register for over five minutes. Not greeted, acknowledged, ANYTHING! They do have a drive they so maybe the two cars in line that we noticed as we walked in overwhelmed them to where they couldn't say hi to us? We left after a good 7 minutes(I checked my watch before we walked in originally).Wouldn't recommend based on the lack of Customer Service. Definitely will never return.Advice to owner: Hire people who can say "Hello".

I checked my Yelp App to find an independent coffee shop in Forest Lake and found only Kodiak. Just South of what's left of the downtown area in an older building there was easy street parking for Kodiak. The shop is bright and cheery and there is a well lit case for a nice variety of food items. They have their logo on clothing items for sale just like the major chains have. The two ladies behind the counter were smiling and friendly and gave a warm greeting. What could go wrong?THE COFFEE BREW! That's what's wrong. My usual dark roast wasn't much stronger than a light roast elsewhere. Frankly it tasted like a weakly made brew from a can of supermarket coffee. In that case I could blend two types of Folger's and come up with a better brew.Ladies there are other reviews panning the brew so perhaps time to talk with your roaster and come up with a new bean blend or hire a different roaster. I know they have their fans and a local following so I'll give license to maybe it was just a bad mix day or the dark roast they choose isn't to my liking. Every so often I visit Forest Lake so I will try again, because I feel bad because they are so nice. I could try a different roast so see what happens. Ok, Yelp cliche time: I really wanted to like this place.

Interior seems more like an ice cream place than a comfy coffee shop.White wooden tables and chairs. Cute though.First time here missed that there is parking behind the building in a little lot, so I parked on the street out front. They have a case of baked goodies along with the offerings of ice cream, and of course, coffee. What struck me as strange though is that every individual item is tightly wrapped in plastic. This could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.It turns out that Key's makes almost all their goodies, except for the scones.

Since moving from Seattle, land of all of the excellent indie coffee shops, I've been trying to check out any smaller ones I can find. My fiance & I drove a ways north to this one to work during the week, and I was left rather unimpressed. Main negative: the coffee. Is terrible. Like, really bad, like I almost decided to just leave and go elsewhere. No thank you. Other than that, it feels more like a deli than a cozy shop. Just very meh.

This coffee is located in Forrest Lake and it is far from the cities. I came here to visit a friend and we stopped here to get some Iced Chai with soy. It's cute inside and I was surprised that they sell cards here. I love reading hallmark cards. Friendly staffs and free parking.

My favorite coffee place. Super sweet employees. Always very fast at making whatever drink I order that day. They have food but I've never tried it, although it looks pretty tasty. They have all sorts of cute little stuff for sale in the shop itself, such as magnets, buttons, books, and clothing. Cozy place with WONDERFUL chai tea. I seriously can't get chai anywhere else now because theirs is so good. I don't know what I'd do without them. They have a punch card too so you can get free drinks once you fill one out! I highly recommend Kodiak Coffee to all coffee and tea drinkers.

Love this place! The coffee bean style reminds me of Biggby's of Michigan, which I miss very much. Love their lattes!

Terrible experience here on Friday 5/4/18. Multiple things went wrong. 1. We were served Luke warm coffee - gross. Then when we brought it to the attention of the staff, they just offered to either steam it or microwave it - lame. 2. The insanely overpriced Red Velvet biscotti was nasty and stale. They were absolutely so old and so gross I can't even express how terrible it was. (I'm sure they are still in the container if the owner cares to try). What made it worse was that it was almost $4!!!! What?! $4 for an overpoweringly stale biscotti when all you could taste was the staleness? Not okay. 3. We were told it was a dog friendly establishment and then were given very warm water for the dogs. It was so warm that they refused to drink it so we had to go to the bathroom to get appropriate temperature water. The staff was friendly and nice but everything else was a terrible experience. After tossing almost $13 in the trash here (figuratively speaking).....it is safe to say that we won't patronize here again.
