Kitchen 601

One of my favorite spots for lunch in the Skyway! They make everything to order, so it takes a little more time than some of the grab-and-go places nearby, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail really shine through in every bite. Whether I'm grabbing a sandwich or penne carbonara (my favorite), the quality is consistently top-notch. Maybe the best fries in the skyway. Plus, the staff is always friendly and accommodating. If you have a little extra time, this place is a must-visit for a satisfying, freshly prepared meal!

The skyway is a tough market to please, yet I was very impressed to see the lunch population that Kitchen 601draws in. Perhaps this is due to the two employees who bust their hind ends running the cash register as well as cooking. I was in awe watching two people serve multiple customers dining in and taking out. The menu is very robust including breakfast, salads, burgers, flatbreads, pasta and many lunch specials. If you dine inside, there are loads of booths, small tables and an entire bar style seating with large windows. The pineapple salad and chicken noodle soup were full of flavor! I will certainly come back and want to try the breakfast menu next. I am rating this a 4-star because I am not a fan of the plastic silverware used for dining in. If Kitchen 601 can implement alternative silverware, I would give this 5-stars. Thank you! Great menu!

My new favorite lunch spot in the Saint Paul skyway. Prices are reasonable and the space is clean.My favorites are the grilled chicken sandwich and the beet salad. The grilled chicken is always cooked to order so expect a wait if you are coming at peak lunch hour (12). I love the smoky flavor and the chicken is never dry.I also tried the salad with strawberries and chocolate bacon. The chocolate bacon was really good. I liked the sweet and savory flavor combo.

Kitchen 601, located in St. Paul, Minnesota, impresses with its diverse menu and efficient service. We ordered and tried the Penne Carbonara served with delicious sauce and bacon with chicken bits in it and a Caesar salad served with grilled chicken. Generous portions and friendly staff make it a must-return destination. Enjoy your dining experience at Kitchen 601!

Fries were crispy if not a bit greasy. Forgot my side of ranch which was so disappointing because they offer it as an option when you order online to include side dips.The fettuccine sauce had zero flavor, the broccoli was burned and the chicken tasted old. Gross. The salmon sandwich had fresh tomatoes, spring mix and onions, but the salmon didn't taste good. The chicken sandwich was really good, nice flavor with the sear.I'm not sure if I will try this again, too many basic cooking misses.

We were looking for fresh salads and found them here. Nice atmosphere, good portions, tasty choices. I wish the staff kept panhandlers from going around the tables asking for money, though. That was awkward.

I ate breakfast here. It was delicious, the price was good, the location is super fresh and clean, and friendly staff. Will be back!

I am glad we finally got another option in the skyway that has good food and decent prices! So far I have had the Caesar salad, beet salad, and Rosa chicken flatbread and all of them have been wonderful. I noticed the lunch hour is very busy so I place my order online for pickup. It's ready in 10-20 minutes pending the time of day and they send a text when they receive the order and again when it's ready. The service is great! And for those who have the time, there are plenty of places to sit as well.

I had a house salad with steak and avocado ranch dressing, it was delicious. I live and work downtown and you can't beat the prices here. I'm looking forward to trying more things.

Prices are really good, and the eggs florentine were a great breakfast. Super nice staff
