Okay, I admit, I am a 72 year old woman who does veer toward the "artsy" look and who wishes she really were artsy! But this store has something for everyone, contrary to a couple of others' remarks. There are loose tops, fitted tops, trendy pants, conservative slacks, beautiful jewelry that is representative of current trends and elegant, understated choices as well. Now, the best part is the staff who, if they "look you up and down" as one reviewer noted, are only doing so to determine what might look really good on your body type. They are friendly, fun and very, very helpful. I hope no one would choose not to check this shop out because of some dissatisfied shopper's one star review. I loved it and will return every chance I get. Living in Dallas doesn't make it easy, but definitely worth the trip!

Part Bibelot, part Vera Bradley, part 107.1 FM. If you know what all three of those things are, then you will probably adore this store. Full of tops that artfully drape to conceal postmenopausal pooch, and bejeweled scarf-and-glove sets, this store caters to a very specific type of woman. And I am not her. But if you are shopping for a middle-aged woman who veers toward the "artsy" side of the spectrum, someone with a healthy appreciation for jewel tones, glamorous reading glasses and accessories of all kinds, then you'll do well to hit this place for unique gifts or something to wear to a special occasion.

I wandered into this store the other day, after driving by it many many times. I have to say that the 'gran' in the name didn't make it very appealing for me. As Emily G. writes in her review, the clothing style consists of loose, large tops that are drapey and very brightly colored. Think long tunics over tights. This reminded me a lot of Chicos. There were some nice jewelry pieces, mostly on the large side and pricey. It's the right shop depending on what you're looking to buy.

Emily G had the best review and has obviously traveled outside the Midwest area. It is true that this is a particular style but it is laughably compared to Chico's. I find it more comparable to small boutiques in Amsterdam and Munich. It is not a French look but it is a super sophisticated and unique curation of fashion. Judith, her daughter, and the team are extremely generous with their assistance and advice. I know many people, including myself who work both coasts always stop between flights to explore this store because of it's unique assortment.

I received a scarf from this store for Christmas from my Mother. The sales clerk told her that I would not need a gift receipt to return/exchange it. I went there today hoping to look around and exchange it for something else as I have way too many scarfs. The woman that worked here told me I had 10 days to exchange it. Isn't that something you put on a GIFT RECEIPT on the RETURN/expolicy?! am a new mother who would've loved to have looked around the store and actually shopped for myself foe once. But that is something I I'll never do at this store. Ever. Thanks a lot Judith McGrann and 'Friends'

Went looking for some new Eyebobs, whose website said they were a retailer for, and no luck. Don't show your ink or dress in anyway like you don't have money because no one will ask if they can help you, but will watch you like you are a shoplifter ...

I've been in this store a few times now. I was really excited about it at first because I love stores that don't always carry what every other store has. There are some unique items here but after trying on so many outfits to find something that works for me I realized a few things. First, just because it's unique does not mean it looks good. So many of their clothes have strange asymmetrical cuts that "pop" out in all the wrong places. I get that it's supposed to be cool but I don't need any help in making my hips look twice as large as they are. The second thing I realized is that the price points of their clothes are high compared to the quality and fit. This store caters to an older customer with money. With that type of a customer I've come to realize that the staff are conditioned to deal with attitude and are really good at giving it out themselves. On a few occasions I've stopped by in my yoga clothes and have been looked up and down with disdain and openly ignored. I tried to buy things from this store a few times and have just come to the realization that it just doesn't work for me. Finally, like VSSJ's review, I received a gift over Christmas from this store and came on January 23rd to exchange it for something else. I was told they only accepted exchanges up to January 10th. The gift receipt did not state this and the person who gave me the gift was told it would not be a problem to exchange. I understand that the store doesn't want to be taking back clothes months after they are sold but it doesn't seem unreasonable to me to give people 30 days after the first of the year to at least reselect a new item.

I only give it a 2 cuz the sales people were friendly. I bought some jewelry and I asked who the artist was and they couldn't give me an answer. The clain the necklace it was on was very cheap yet expensive to buy. I bought a pair of jeans and returned them. They claimed there were two stains on them. I went to look at them and there was dust not dirt or stains. They wouldn't refund or give store credit. It was an expensive pair as well. Not easy to lose $100 for a pair of jeans. I did buy a pair of mittens but returned them and that's when I bought the necklaces. I will have continental Diamonds adjust the clain so I can use my own sterling sliver chain. There sales and return policies are fishy. I will not shop there again.

Sophisticated, curated clothing you won't see everywhere. NOT at all like CHICO's!!! Chico's is like Talbots only on vacation. Judith Mc Grann & Friends is a unique boutique toward the high end but not exclusively. Knowledgeable staff. Phenomenal sales!!! They go right to 50% off, no interim reductions. This is a very special place, a destination in itself, with a sophisticated and loyal clientele. Go!!!

I am surprised by these past reviews, especially Emily's. Perhaps she/they should revisit. There are many fitted pieces. Great on color. Great travel pieces. Very high quality and in absolutely no way like Chico's. I don't shop Chico's. At this store, you will never find yourself duplicated all over town. I love it!
