A nice space in the Marquette hotel, overlooking the inside of the IDS center from a balcony of sorts. The menu is pretty varied, and pricing isn't bad for a downtown hotel restaurant (most entrees are around $25 in Feb 2025). I ordered the quintessential Minneapolis pairing of bowl of wild rice soup (technically a vegetable soup with wild rice in this case) and the walleye fillet. The soup, accompanied by crostini with goat cheese, was quite good (atypically flavored, though not in a bad way), and the fish was likewise decent, though the slaw it was plated with could have been marinated a little longer and a little less oily.Service was prompt and friendly.Overall, I was satisfied with my meal on this bitterly cold night, when the weather kept me from wandering away from the hotel. I will return, but will likely try something different as an entree.

This restaurant is hidden in the 3d floor of the hotel in the IDS center. There is a nice balcony (inside) that overlooks the main floor, and the skylight lets you pretend that you are outside while you sit there. It was absolutely deserted at lunchtime on a Wednesday, but our server was fantastic. She suggested cost-saving menu items as well as dish combos that were popular. I will say, our food took longer than I thought to come out given the non-existent crowd, there was a burger to be cooked and fries to be, well, fried, so at least those were fresh. But the other 2 meals were salads, and we ended up having to rush out lunch a bit. Our server was happy to provide boxes and utensil, however.

So I had relatively decent expectations for this place but there were overall a lot of misses here. First and foremost, service was not great. We waited about 20 min after we sat down before someone came and greeted us and took our drink orders. There weren't many people there and it looked like they were definitely short staffed.Food we got was not great, chicken I got was overcooked, chewy and dry. It was also very much lacking in flavor. Could not finish it. For the bill, we paid almost $100 for 2 mediocre entrees, a soda, and a cocktail. Not very good and now I am not surprised why there weren't that many people there. Do not recommend and definitely stay away.

I attended a company party at this hotel restaurant. It was tricky to locate within the IDS building. You will have to enter the Marquette hotel and then take the elevator to level 3. Once you exit the elevator you will see a room with Foosball table. Go pass this room and walk towards the balcony area where I found my coworkers. Food was delicious, I ordered filet mignon, ceasar salad and fries with alioli sauce. However we only had 1 waiter working that evening. There were other tables as well that he needed to tend to. He took orders from half the group and then came back later to take the rest of our order. I thought that was odd, but whatever. 2 of my coworkers food was not made and waited for their meal, while the waiter asked if anyone wanted desserts. Couple of my coworkers went to the simulator room to kill some time and came back looking frustrated. An employee advised them it will cost money to play by hour. They said no thank you. Aside from dinner, the building hosted a holiday event in the lobby, we can hear them calling out bingo numbers below. I hope this restaurant finds more servers, i felt bad for the waiter.

Amazing and delicious breakfast buffet in this immaculate and classy downtown Minneapolis hotel. I loved sitting at the Mary Tyler Moore table - complete with a stunning view of Crystal Court - and enjoying the fresh and varied buffet choices, including overnight oats, vegetable frittata, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and smoked salmon. Everything was delectable! The beautiful and attentive waitress, whose tenure with the restaurant goes back several decades to its days as Basel's, made the experience even more special. "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" fans will remember the locale from the opening show credits. A 10 in every category!

We had just arrived from out of town, and we were blown away. I had the filet mignion and my gf had the walleye both were cooked to perfection. Our server Crystal was wonderful and very responsive, and consistently checked in on use. It was a great place to eat.

When you wait too late to reserve a restaurant for Valentine's Day you're left with the "bottom-of-the-barrel" selections. Jolliet House, on this occasion, was definitely in that category. I reserved a table for my wife and myself for the Valentines buffet. Upon arrival to the third floor establishment, I was not offered a coat check, though it had been snowing pretty hard that evening, and it would have been nice to have my coat hung. Anyway, we were seated in the atrium facing side, which was nice. The complementary glasses of prosecco were nice. However, the signature drink, some concoction of syrupy fruit juice and, maybe, vodka left much to be desired. The buffet "seemed" like a good selection of food: green salad with you choice of dressings, green beens, mashed potatoes, chicken Florentine, grilled salmon, and sirloin steak, and various bread rolls. The best thing in that whole selection was the salad! The chicken was so dry I refused to finish after eating a bite. The rolls were dry and hard, and my wife's steak was flavorless. The kicker was the final bill which came to about $185.00! I will not be back...
