Johns Tailors

We have been going to John's Tailors for over 13+ years. The owner is so professional, knowledgeable, and has altered garments with little time to spare when we've run into last minute needs. I trust her expertise and the quality of her work is unmatched! The prices are reasonable and I would not bring my clothing anywhere else.

So I am breaking this review down into two parts as John's Tailors did multiple alterations for our wedding. Lets start with the grooms wear: No issues, great work was completed and everything fit well for the guys. Good work with fast turn around.Bridesmaid Dresses: She did two dresses for me. Part of the alterations was adding on a jeweled belt to the dresses. She did the first one correctly and in the proper position but when she did the second belt she altered the location of where the starfish sat on the waist because she thought it looked nice and "that is where she pinned it" I showed her the picture from when the bridesmaid has her dress on at the fitting appointment and how she clearly put it in the wrong spot on the second dress. She offered to fix it but because she had to cut the belt ends and sew it on near the zipper I opted to keep it that way since if she changed it the whole thing would be off.Wedding dress:She was doing alterations for my wedding dress, the only things she said needed to be done were changing the shoulders (which she did BUT she literally just folded over the fabric and stitched it, no professional finishing and edges poking out) and add a bustle. We had discussed an underbustle. When I went to pick up my dress she told me she changed it to an outer bustle because it "looked nicer" She never called and discussed this change with me prior to doing it and the buttons she sewed on the outside of my dress for the bustle looked awful, uneven and most importantly not hidden like they should be for a properly done bustle. Not only that but after her alterations my chest no longer fit properly in the dress. I told her I was unhappy and picked up my dress and brought it to a different Tailor who told me what was done to my dress was "awful and I should demand my money back" The only good thing was she did refund the money I had paid for the wedding dress alterations. But my recommendation is have suits done at Johns. If you value your dress and sanity for your wedding dress find a professional Tailor.

Because of getting quarantined due to Covid I needed a prom dress altered in under a week. She did it for me and it looked perfect!

We did not have such a great experience here. I dropped off a floor length bridesmaid dress to be hemmed and my boyfriend dropped off a suit jacket to have the waist taken in and the sleeves hemmed. So it's a week before the wedding and we come to pick up our stuff, when she told us to come, and it was a mess. She lost my boyfriend's jacket. She had no idea where it was and we spent a half hour looking through her clothes for it. So, I took my dress and she said she would keep looking for his jacket. I went home and tried on the dress and she only hemmed the under layer of the dress not the top layer so I it was like 5 inches too long. So I called her and brought it back a day later and she said she had found my boyfriend's jacket but she hadn't even done any of the work yet. 3 days before the wedding we finally picked up our stuff finished but we would never go back what a headache.

Look no further, you have come to the right place. Needed professional clothes, but I had no idea what to get. Feryal helped me pick what I needed, and everything fits and looks perfect! Will be back to expand my wardrobe.

Absolutely the BEST place to go for alterations! This shop is not only the work , but it's done with kindness and honesty. I will NEVER go anywhere else!

Worked with the sweetest lady here! Due to my own poor planning I needed my few pairs of pants tailored in under a week. She was wonderfully accommodating and made sure they were ready when I needed, didn't even charge me extra. Highly recommend!

I came in from out of town with an emergency situation and needed a dress hemmed the same day. Feryal was incredible!!! She finished my dress in 3 hours. I am incredibly grateful for such quick and friendly one of a kind service. Highly recommend.

I bought a wedding dress that was 3 sizes too big for a great deal. I didn't realize how much work had to go into it to make it fit. Feryal made it fit perfectly, added a beautiful bustle (exceeded my expectations), and did everything on time. She puts extra effort into her work. She is a perfectionist which is exactly what you want in your tailor. I can't wait to wear it in a couple weeks! She's the best!
