Joe's Market & Deli

This place makes all of their money off of the deli (which isn't as great as everyone says) and subsequently treats their grocery customers like trash. Their prices on basic grocery items are OBSCENE. Even for a corner store, which we all expect to be pricey already. Person behind the counter, who I understand is the owner, himself is rude and unfriendly. This just isn't how a local corner store should be! Gross.

Keep doing what you're doing Joe! Very good wings! Would definitely eat here again. #BLM

I hadn't been to Joe's in a few years and on this trip found the varieties and selections in common groceries is greatly decreased to make way for row after row of snack foods. This is probably the reason I stopped going to this store as a convenience. At one time they had the best selection of soft drinks and gradually dropped the independents for only traditional sodas, i.e. Pepsi and Coke products. The same goes for breads. Whereas they bought from St. Agnes bakery, a local independent, that was dropped for traditional supermarket brands. The dairy case kept changing brands and Joe's was already a little more pricey than other convenience stores. There is a deli and the store does cater more to the college age population so for that generation it's a more complete store.I tried the hot coffee to go and found a 16oz for $1.59 and being labeled as "Bold" turned out to be not so much. Consider another store I frequent to the east has top quality coffee and 20oz is $1.09. That is an example of Joe's.

They don't enforce Covid-19 mask use -- at least not while I was there. When I was at the place there was a guy in the store ahead of me talking a mile a minute on his cell phone without a mask on and neither of the two employees batted an eye over it. I asked the employee behind the deli counter about it and he just shrugged and didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Mask use is required in all businesses so I'm hesitant to return no matter how good their food is.

This place is right next to my house so I go there often.When you walk in, you're welcomed with a very strange smell.. But after a while you get used to it.I've never gotten food from the deli until today, but wanted to get something quick before work.I got the hot Italian sandwich; (spicy sausage, onions, cheese, red sauce and peppers)The sausage was so looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day and it was awful so I took it off (see pictures). They also forgot to put the sauce on it so I basically ate a cheese and pepper sandwich...

Fast! Convenient! Friendly employees! What else do you need!My favorite part about Joe's is the authentic feel they give. They aren't trying to be something they're not. You walk in expecting a neighborhood store that is there for you when you're in a pinch, and you get a friendly face willing to listen to the ridiculous story that brought you through the door. Huge fan!

The older guy with short black and gray hair with the galaxy smart watch looked at my girlfriend for so long she got uncomfortable asked for me to grab the things she was buying and walked out. I'm sure the guy realized she didn't have a bra on and took full advantage. This is not ok and I should be calling the cops. Definitely making sure I walk passed this store now to get my cornerstore needs since I live a block away. Pretty lame since it was so convenient but luckily their are others!

This place was delicious. A stoners delight, the Buffalo chicken wrap was amazing. My friend had delicious Buffalo wings, and I was also able to get candy!! Will be back
