Jensen's Market

I've been a fan of Jensen's for many years. Was sad to hear they were leaving their Coon Rapids location. However, still glad they weren't totally closing down, but just a location move to Champlain. (But just across the Ferry Street Bridge so we could almost/ barely call in Anoka!)Sis and I were running errands and had time to kill. "Hey, why don't we find the new Jensen's Market and see what they got!"Storefront is right on 169. Great anesthetic and plenty of parking. Inside they have everything we hoped they'd still carry. The fresh a la carte salad bar. The pre-made dinners and side dishes, pasta salads. The fresh pastries (bread, donuts, coffee cakes, caramel rolls).They even have a hot food bar next to the register. And on my way out, I noticed they had a coffee board menu. They sell hot (and cold) coffee. Grab a coffee with a donut!I was surprised and happy to see that is was one giant, organized room, and I didn't have to meander down aisles. I don't know why I waited so long to criss the river and check out the new place. I won't stay away that long again! Thanks for keeping all the hits I associate with Jensen's Foods.

When I first saw Jensen's Market I thought is was just meats. I was wrong. I went there today for the first time based on a recommendation about there cinnamon rolls. The person who greeted us made a recommendation to heat them for 10 seconds in the microwave. Spot on recommendation, they are some of the best cinnamon rolls I've had in years. I also picked up a couple cake donuts, the that brought me back to my childhood. I highly recommend Jensen's Market.

I was heading up north on a Saturday morning and have passed by this corner many times in the past, but never noticed this establishment before. This business offers a complete array of a full butcher, homemade deli items, small bakery, plus lots and lots of barbecue paraphernalia. They even have a pit barbecue station out in front of their establishment. The baked items I tried were very good and did I also mention that they serve espresso drinks? Awesome family, run and owned business!
