Jake's Supper Club

Went here for a nice dinner with my son after visiting him at UW- Stout this weekend. Wanted something other than bar food or fast food! Starting with our initial impression: beautiful view from the deck - can't wait to come back when it's warm again! Would recommend reservations if coming on a weekend- will have to wait for a table, but there is a bar. Speaking of which, cant ever go wrong with a real Wisconsin Old Fashioned. The drink menu lists a Jameson orange old fashioned -- I tried it on the advice of our server, and while it was ok, doesn't compare to the real thing. The menu is expansive and reasonable prices. The prime rib was melt in your mouth tender... the salad was good, too-- cold and crisp. My som had the garlic alfredo pasta and loved it, too.The only reasons I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the wait time to get our bill... nearly 30 min, though the waiter was swamped.

Jake's was always a treat when I went to college at Stout in the 90s. Came back for homecoming after 24 years and decided to celebrate my birthday with friends at Jake's. It didn't disappoint. We started off with cheese curds for an appetizer, which weee yummy. Most of the table ordered the 15oz ribeye streak for their meal and I ordered the prime rib and shrimp special. Coming from Scottsdale, Arizona, couldn't believe the great prices of the items. Our server Zoe was great, so patient with our group, there was 11 of us. The other servers, runners, and managers worked together to get our food and drinks out in a timely manner. The brownie I got for my birthday was delicious.

Great atmosphere. Great workers. Great food. Wish they had Filet Mignon. However; the salmon is to die for!!

Fish Fry was great, walleye dinner delicious! Server Meshal was excellent and friendly. Sat outside by the river, very kid friendly! Parking lot was full but wasn't a long wait at all.

Glad to know that Jake's remains a classic Wisconsin supper club. We came for an early dinner on a Saturday. Service was quality by an experienced wait staff. Seated by the window and decor was very nice. I had salmon over rice with vegetables. Also French onion soup. Everything was terrific! The dinner rolls remain warm and great crust. (We may have gone overboard in our carb indulgences!) My husband had queen cut prime rib special, hash browns and a salad. His meat was cooked properly medium rare (as he requested) and food was very flavorful. His only critique was serving size of hash browns was rather small. We had to finish the wonderful meal with after dinner ice cream drinks. Oh so good!!! Truly great place to dine.

As a Supper Club aficionado, Jake's is at the top of our list. Love, the warm Wisconsin ambience, excellent window-view dining and cozy bar area. The food was amazing with handsome portions, and the prices were just right. Our server, Johnny, was absolutely the best ever, really enhanced our dining experience here.

Nice bartenders. Good drinks fast service. By Strip was so tasty baked potato was cooked well. Sad that they offer bread and butter as I would rather have a salad. Husband had prime rib. Was cooked to his liking but as prime rib is it was too fatty but he expected that. Just not his favorite cut of meat. Everything was delicious After dinner there was live music so we did enjoy the music Would go back

Went for the Friday Fish Fry. Food, service and atmosphere were all fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Jake's was closed due to a remodel, but offered a delicious to-go Thanksgiving meal. We fed our family of 6 for a very reasonable price. While the entire meal was so good, the potatoes and creamy corn in particular were amazing! Thank you for this option, for working this holiday, and for a perfect Thanksgiving meal for our family!

Jake's is always first rate. This is our go to place for special occasions or simply when we want a really good meal and a terrific view of the river. We love the supper club ambiance and the food and service is always top notch. We highly recommend.
