Jake's Stadium Pizza

I love this place. Every time I am in Mankato, I will stop and have a slice. Just preserving a long tradition. Order some pizza on Fri and Sat night, have some beer, go to the bars, come back and have left over. Can you top that? I don't think so. This pizza tastes great before and after some drinking games too. Another secret, if you lost the poker or blackjack games with your buddies that night, no worries, Jake's pizza will help you ease the pain. Trust me. Only problem with their thin crust sausage pizza is that, your buddies turns into pizza zombies and decides to devour it if you keep it unprotected. So make sure you secure your pizza in an iron safe with eye or thumb scanner. You know sometimes it is hard to punch those numbers when the whole world is wobbly and moving. So you get the point, I like Jake's pizza.

This is supposedly a Mankato highlight for restaurants but in the two times I've come here I've been severely underwhelmed. This past time we ate our pizza on paper plates and I nearly choked on the cheese. The location is lovely tho and I'm glad it's a staple for some people just really not for me.

I used to go there when I was in college in the 90s. My second favorite pizza in the world. The thin cracker crust the seasonings they use for the meat and sauce, the squarish slices in the round pizza. So tasty I've managed to fly into the airport just to go to Jakes. Got the tshirt and everything. Wish I wasn't the pilot if the plane cause I love the draft beers out of the frosty mugs.

I was so grateful that they deliver to the hotel right to your door. Friendly guy. Pizza is good and there is a sausage on every square, sometimes more. Sauce is average. Totally worth it in a pinch, very fast service.

I have been to Jakes in Fairmont and Saint Peter. Both good, but the Jakes in Mankato is consistent unlike the others. That means a lot, you go there order something and really enjoy, it's a promise that you can go back and get same experience. Jakes Stadium.. thank you

Food is great here. I ordered to go and the service was terrible. I sat for 50 minutes past the time they said it would be done. I was not happy sitting waiting that long for my pizzas.

I have to eat gluten-free (GF)- and, for my money, Jakes has the best GF pizza in town. A crisp but chewy crust - with all sorts of toppings available, including vegan cheese, "meats" and more! Love Jake's!

When visting Mankato you have to stop by Jakes Stadium Pizza!! The service is great, the have the best pizza and poorboys in southern Minnesota!! They have a party room!!

Came for lunch with a group of people and was immediately mesmerized by all the Star Wars memorabilia (It was May 4th, Star Wars Day). As you walk in you order your food at the register. The menu is dominated by all kinds of pizza toppings from your basics to several specialty choices. You can order a 10" personal size to a big one to share. They have decent lunch special for a personal pizza and a fountain soda. After ordering you find your seat and wait for your number to be called. You better pay attention, it's a little tough to hear over the distorted speakers. This restaurant is good for bringing groups of people as they have a space and a private room area. Feels like a place you would bring the kids like Chuck E Cheese, but with no games or tokens. I finally got my personal sized buffalo chicken pizza. The pizza wasn't bad...c'mon it's pizza, but it tasted like something I might have gotten from the frozen food section. The buffalo sauce was hot for me, so I had to battle my way through eating the pizza (FYI I'm a big wimp when it comes to hot and spicy food). Unfortunately I couldn't finish it. I love pizza but would put this near the lower end of favorites.
