My husband found some of their meat sticks at a convenient store in Maplewood and they are always sold out, so we took it to the internet and thankfully found that there is a little retail store.Store is way down on Concord in South St. Paul, but worth the trek. Some of the best meat sticks around and a great price. Ended up buying two big packs of garlic meat sticks, some old fashioned hot dogs and polish sausage. Once you have meat from a market all the others are just blah.Great selection of fresh meat, frozen and they sell Heggies pizza too. Will definitely be back for more of the garlic meat sticks.

One of my favorite retail meat stores. Excellent quality fresh meats in the counter. All thier smoked products are some of the best I've tasted, with a unique flavor that I've come to expect from all their products. Custom venison processing is done, and I love their venison sticks made with cheese. I also like the 10 pound frozen chicken quarters that are vacuum packed.

There are very few real meat markets left. Husnik's does their best to put quality food on your table. Wild game processing available.I shop here for the inexpensive chicken leg quarters. Just 59 cents a pound.

OK, my wife keeps beating me to the punch on the posts but she found YELP, so what the heck. I want to give the back story on this Husnik Meat Co. inc. This place was a lesson to me. I went in here the first time just to check it out, bought two bacon wrapped tenderloins and did my best to engage the butcher in conversation. This guy was a wall. His attitude sucked so hard that I drove away thinking that I would never go back again. I've met junk yard dogs that had more of an inviting nature. Well the tenderloins were fantastic and for 4$ a piece they were fabulous. We then bought meat at Cub and Rainbow and every time the meat failed the taste test, regardless of how it was prepared. So against my own better judgement I went back there. This time with a huge chip on my shoulder ready to do battle with with jerk with no customer service skills. I walk in and the same guy is friendly as could be expected and I walked out confused with my fabulous steaks. Long story short. I continue to frequent this place for Brats, grade A tip roast, and my tenderloins. The lesson here was, always give a place with good product two tries, regardless of the service. You never know what was up with person serving you. I have tried a couple other butchers in the area since that time and none compare to this place for a great deal and quality product. From what I can see you get prime butcher quality product at a Cub foods price-tag.

One star for finding bone or part of a tooth in my beef sticks. Not sure how often it is for this type of stuff to pass through beef plants but I don't experience this too often.

Wonderful selection of unique sausages, brats, and pre-seasoned or prepared meats. I love the bacon wrapped tenderloins, the Philly Cheesesteak Sausages, and the Porketta Chops! The price is the best in town, on top of the great selection. They beat any grocery store meat department! I also had them do a pig roast for my groom's dinner! It was awesome! I was very impressed with the service and the pork tasted great! You should definitely stop in and stock up! Get some delicious meats for grilling!

I always go here for my trim for making my venison sausage. Great prices. I buy other stuff also like the miss cut chops , beef sticks, jerky etc. I recently bought some of the 59 cent chicken leg and thigh 1/4's. I let them thaw over night then went to cook them. Upon opening the 3 bags I found a pretty bad smell to 2 of them. I have been in the cooking business for 25 years. I know when chicken is off or at least questionable you dont serve it. Well the young butcher kid that was taking care of the register had a similar attitude to the junk yard dog comment from a previous review. There was an older fellow there who said just get him another bag from another case. They both went into the back and then came up and said there was only one bag left. OK give me that bag I will try it and refund the difference. the kid went to the calculator and started to figure it out with a bad attitude. I said do you just want to give me some jerky or something so you dont have to do any paper work. I guess not cause he said he will just give me the difference back and they will take it out of his check. Well I didnt say anything to that but that must be a pretty terrible place to work at if they take returns out of their employees check. Anyway he gave me the 5 dollars back without a word whatsoever and was on to the next customer.I was on my way. Aaaah yes what an enjoyable experience. I think they need the happy counter girl they have during the day manning the registers in the evenings. Obviously the butchers shouldnt be manning the registers or at least the ones with bad attitudes should stay in the back of the house.
