CATFISH - BEST IN TWIN CITIES. So, in general I would not give this place five stars so I gave it four, but the CATFISH 5 STARS. I have NEVER had catfish this good EVER. I have traveled the US, been south, west, east, north, this is it for me. Hot sauce YES or NOT. I don't like fishy. I don't like BONES. This Catfish has none. NOW, I am going to go again this weekend. I will confirm this post to see if they keep up with the standard I have in my head. If so, I may need to give them a five star just for the CATfish. Friends have said A and J's if better, NO. it is not about how you fry it, the breading. It is the fish. It doesn't matter chain or non chain. the FISH is BOMB. ENJOY FRIENDSWhen I was in shop, I talked to a gentleman who said his g.f. liked the JUMBO Shrimp. I WILL try this next TRIP and let you know. :) CHEERIO

Was craving fried chicken very badly and found this place on yelp! Has its own parking lot. The menu on the wall is very limited, find the to go menu that's on their counter for more food items to choose from. This place is basically offers fried chicken, fried fish, and gyros. We tried the gizzards and the wings + catfish combo. Gizzards weed good except they were hole chunks, it would've been more convenient if they were cut in half for better eating. (Less chewing) Catfish was dry and the batter fell off right when you break into it, which tells me it's frozen in my opinion. Chicken wings were ok, I wish they were more juicy inside. Not sure if they were frozen and then fried or fried half way and then fried again to order because it was very very well done. I felt it took 15 minutes for our food to come. Which is good to know for next time to order ahead. The sprinkle they put on our food was not bad, I can't explain it, lemon pepper, salt, and sugar kind of mix. Fries were not bad. Coleslaw was eh. They also ran out of tarter sauce that day!! WhhhyyyAnyways TBH, gizzards were good enough for me to provide 4 stars, and I would rate 3 stars for the wings and catfish.

Incompetent staff!! I called in an order for a small cat fish nugget meal. I had to ask for my total and ask how long it would take. When I arrived, only one person was in there. My meal wasn't ready. A guy was standing in the back with his hand in his mouth with plastic gloves on!! After a bit a see another guy putting catfish fillets, NOT nuggets in a box!! When I tell the girl who took my order that wasn't what I ordered, she tried to charge me more to get what I originally ordered. I KNOW this was wrong as I have been to this place before!! They need better help! Very disappointed and annoyed!

Hook Fish and Chicken is an awesome, and I highly recommend it. Consistently delicious, great quality and service! These guys have a marvelous menu as well. The team was very helpful and service is great. I would definitely go back!

The best fresh Crispy Cat Fish ever , great French fries always good service always fast

I find the staff very professional and friendly which makes everyone feel welcome there. Okay food too and great customer service.

I've wanted to try for awhile and finally got the chance. Good: from scratch not a bag and made fresh. Downside: made fresh takes TIME. Lower stars because it wasn't fully cooked.

I order food from here all the time. What I like: The food is good in a greasy, feel-good type of way. I like the catfish and the shrimp the best. The food comes out quick - within 15 minutes of ordering.This place is open most days. I went to a Hook's on Christmas. It's also got longer hours than most food in the area. The selection of drinks that you can choose from is pretty wide. The workers have also always been nice to me and I don't see them having any bad interactions with customers. What I don't like: Condiments. I wish there was more (or sometimes any) sauce with every order. The verdict: Some of the best greasy feeling fast food you can get in town. I've not had a bad meal here. Could use more sauce.

First, there is a menu on the wall, and I nearly left not seeing anything I wanted. But take a look at the menu on the counter. I was surprised that they only service chicken nuggets, tenders or wings, because I wanted whole pieces. I ordered wings. The seasoning was very tasty, but I have to say, under the skins the chicken wings had a strange gray/black tone. Like the chicken totally bruised. Also the skins and 'hair' from plunking. Weird and not appetizing. Fries were very good. Coleslaw was disgusting. Made days and days ago. Overall pretty good but next time Id just get chicken strips to avoid the color and 'hair.'

The guy who took my order did a great job, the phone was basically ringing off the hook and he was on top of it! I ordered the catfish and shrimp for $9.99, it was pretty busy so it took about 15 minutes for them to make it but I thought that seemed fair. The portions where awesome, the catfish was good and the shrimp was great. It wasn't Red Lobster or anything but for $10 it was perfect. Oh, and the fries where better than I expected.
