Hook Fish and Chicken

Bruhhhh they putt soo much in my meal it's so lil more pricey then it was 3 years ago but it's actually in my opinion way better and this location is generous and super kind the lady working pluged with the sauces and the location on central always taxes for sauce best hooks in the app!!!

Overall, underwhelming. The food was bland, overly greasy, and overpriced for what you get. The kitchen gets the food out fast enough, but I'm convinced that's because it might have been sitting since its take out only. We got the catfish along with fish and chips. I'm not convinced what we got was even hot when they boxed it since by the time we got home (10 minute drive) it was lukewarm.

Time for an update. Today I was in the mood for good fish, and Hooks came into mind. Boy... was I disappointed... Not sure if the food went down in quality ... I ordered tilapia with rice...the tilapia was good, it was fried crisp but a bit salty... then I got rice, for the side ...it was a choice between French Fries and rice, and I thought rice would be a good choice for the fish. It wasn't. The rice was mushy. The sauce it came with was okay though. The cost was a whopping $17 but it was a lot of food enough to feed two people, and I got the food to go to share with my mom and me. I don't think I'll return though.

I don't know why this place exists. And today I learned it is a chain. I've been looking for a good place to get fish. This isn't it. We didn't notice until we were leaving they had a sign saying " Take out only." "Dine in temporarily closed."The fish was overcooked and really mediocre quality.I hate to give any place a bad rating but in all good conscience I can't recommend this place even though they have Italian Beef Sandwiches on the menu.

Pretty much a failure on all accounts. Food used very low quality ingredients doused in an attempt to hide with too much seasoning or sauce on everything. For lunch we got chicken nuggets, a gyro and a philly cheesesteak. The nuggets were terrible and way too heavily coated in seasoning, the gyro had a sauce I couldn't identify, but was not tzatziki, and the cheesesteak was made from some sort of processed beef loaf. We didn't finish anything.

Nice local neighborhood kinda place. Limited menu, but the food is fresh and tasty. More of a take out than eat in place, the dining room is small and divey. The staff are very nice. This isn't a date place for a quick bite when you're craving Chinese, this is perfect.

This place is always good. They never disappoint. We stop by whenever in the BC. They make all the food fresh when you order so be prepared to wait a bit! Today my fiancé and I shared a number one. Bomb as usual

This is a great place to eat - Call ahead cause most everything takes time to prepare. It Sit's somewhere between Chicago style and Comfort/Soul Food. One of my Favs when I need a salty snack or gyro

The quality is going down. I used to enjoy their food but in the last few months the fried chicken I was served is not fully coated with the breading and the chicken did not seem fresh like it had been sitting out for quite sometime. I came in during the week about 12:30p. This is my 2nd time experiencing this all last month. Peace can tell if the cook was tired or didn't care, the energy will show up in your food.

Always good and their consistent. We would definitely eat here again. Catfish and wings are the absolute best. Try it!
