Got in real late and our room was dirty. Carpeting was covered in stains. The manager moved us the next morning and was very nice. New room was cleaner. The overall stay was very disappointing. The main tv/bar area was the only nice space in the hotel. Rooms felt old and not super clean. The 9.00 breakfast was worse than a free complimentary one from other hotels. The hotel needs some maintenance work done. Overall there was nothing to recommend this place unfortunately

Amazing hotel, I enjoyed my experience here. They have everything I look for at a hotel and I was treated like a VIP. I got a first floor room, I'm right by the bar that was open late served by Terry the amazing bartender. Beautiful lobby! clean, cozy rooms. Awesome modern showers. Parking lot can get packed at times too but if you're coming to this hotel and I've stayed at many hotels in Minneapolis. This place is it!

I stay at IHG properties all over the Midwest while traveling for work. I always like holiday inns and HI express locations but this is the first time I have given one 5 stars. This place is great! Very nice lobby, everything is updated throughout, check in was super nice and treated me like I was a VIP. I stayed in a king suite and it was updated with fresh decor, etc. this is my new go-to in the Minneapolis area. If you want some exercise it's a short two minute drive to the Normandale park area which has a 1.8 mile paved loop walking/running trail around it. Just a great experience overall!

This place gets five stars from me! Usually when you check in early to a room something is usually messed up because housekeeping was in a rush. Not so here. In fact, when we got to the room, there was a handwritten card welcoming us by name (Thanks, Aletha!). Not too shabby!I really liked the room! Comfortable bed, large TV (complete with Cartoon Network), fridge, microwave, and LOTS of places to charge your stuff. Seriously, both nightstands had multiple sockets and USB ports, with a few more such outlets around the room. The bathroom was a little cramped, but I can forgive that easily for all the other in-room amenities. This hotel is close to both the airport and Mall of America. Usually I look for the best deals when renting a hotel room. In the future I will purposely search for a good deal here.

Smooth check in, decent room. It's Gross floors. Stains and pizza cheese? lol The curtain has a hole in it too. Kinda question how clean the place is.They seem to cut the ac from staying on the temp you set it to. Gets kinda hot in the room. Not bad but not the best.

If you are coming here to expect an original Holiday Inn Express you won't find it. This is a refurbished cheap Ramada or Days or some cheap hotel like that. I really feel that they should be required to disclose the fact that they bought a cheap hotel and changed it over.

Mac the Assistant manager is the best!! He should be the manager!! Such a great personality and great help. It was so easy getting the shuttle from the airport, checking in, and the hot tub was great. But Mak is the reason we will be coming back! Sunshine in human form

When your kid looks like a coal miner after crawling on the carpet for five minutes, you truly appreciate that the other hotels on your road trip steam clean their carpets more than once a year. I'm not one starring because everything else was fine, but basic sanitation is important.

Holiday Inn (IHG) is never my top choice for lodging, Hilton and Marriott are. Due to availability, this time I booked the Holiday Inn Bloomington W MSP Airport Area for 6 nights and thought I could try it out and expand my selections in the future. Unfortunately, the experience further confirmed that I would never stay there again unless I really have no other choice.Their website claims they are close to MSP airport, it is 10 miles away from MSP Terminal 1. I cannot say 10 miles is far but it's 11 miles from MSP Terminal 1 to Saint Paul and 13 miles to Minneapolis. So, any place in the twin city area can claim to be close to MSP by their standards.Their room charges don't include breakfast, which is fine, nothing wrong with that, and many other hotels don't either. They provide "delicious" breakfast at $12.99 if you pay on the spot or $8.99 if you purchase at check in. However, the breakfast is worse than, or at most the same as, the free breakfast by many Hilton and Marriott brands. Same selections every day and very bad coffee. I can safely say it's the worst paid breakfast I ever had, and unfortunately, I bought 5 of them at check in.There is a "convenience " store in the lobby behind the front desk, which is helpful; however, they charge ridiculous prices, a 33.8 fl oz Smart Water is sold at $4, which is only $2.19 at the nearby Target store. Now the worst part. I understand that almost all hotels changed their housekeeping models since COVID-19, either on demand or every two or three days, or both. This hotel uses a different and very inconvenient model. I didn't get housekeep service after the first night. I asked the lady at the front desk, and she told me that they check all rooms at 6-7 am every day to see whether "Do not Disturb" sign is hanging on the doorknob, then arrange housekeeping for the rooms without the sign around 9-11am. You cannot request one later if you have the sign hanging when they check. So, if you want to sleep a little late or forget to take down the sign but want to have your room cleaned, you are out of luck. After learning the lesson, I stopped hanging the sign, I still didn't get the service after the second, third, and fourth nights. I asked the front desk again and was told based on their log, my "Do not Disturb" sign was hanging there every day. Of course I had no evidence showing it was not the case. And even if I had some evidence, the house keep team had left at the time I asked and the front desk "could not do anything". On the positive side, you do get extra towels if you ask. The lady at the front desk offered some points as compensation. While I appreciated her offer, it didn't matter much as I normally don't stay at Holiday Inn, and I don't collect IHG points. To be fair, the room and amenities of the hotel were not bad, and everyone I interacted with was nice and friendly. The hotel provided free parking, which was helpful. I saw there's a nice swimming pool and a fully equipped gym. Many families with kids were utilizing them. However, I also noticed the pool was closed on my fifth night. I didn't use the pool, but I feel sorry for those who liked to use it.
