Hideaway Coffee House and Wine Bar

First of all, looking for a bakery, then, found it, not the first place found. The other locations are or doesn't matter await my return. Be nice Minnesotans. Unless we see the best; keep coming back. Wait for it. We come back.The good news is found something else down the street, this gem. Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Best and maybe a dozen awards lined the walls. There is your sign Minnesota. Food fantastic, coffee great. Wanting more, yes, will be back. Don't cha know good things are worth being kept secret. Shhhhh, no reading any further. This place is a secret. Will return to try your chicken wild rice soup. Then discover more. Lovely layout My first visit to the downtown Northfield. Thank you all. Friendly enthusiastic knowledgeable staff. Great service as we like. Felt laid back and relaxed as soon as in the door. The food was excellent and so was the iced mocha! Absolutely hit the spot. The patio was nice to sit at in the cute area of downtown Northfield and the interior looked nice as well. The service was great! I absolutely will return.

Great little place in downtown Northfield. Sandwiches, soups, and drinks have all been consistently good. Service was timely and friendly. A number of comfy tables that stretch to the back of the place make for a comfy experience for our group of 4.

Met a colleague here for a morning meeting. We got a table right in the front window which was lovely. I ordered a latte which was served in a mug given it was for in-house consumption. It was a little more frothy than I expect with a latte but the taste was good. Served nice and hot and they brought it to my table as I waited. They give you a card to indicate the table needs to be cleaned when you leave which is a nice way to keep the restaurant safe for all. Service was good. The place was busy with a couple of larger groups, very much enjoying drinks and conversation. They also had a few sidewalk tables which were nice. I also noticed they have free WiFi but I did not use in this visit.

Cafe in the Land of Cows, Colleges, and Contentment. A place to relax and maybe even have a deep intellectual conversation.The staff is friendly and consists of college workers or others from around town. There is a full coffee and tea bar, as well as wine, and select pastries which are not made in house but are a compliment to the available drinks.The atmosphere is both casual and intellectual. There are a few board gams and books laying around. Bright bay window seating awaits you as you walk in or there is dark ambiance inside. I've had their Bran Muffin and it was okay. For non coffee drinkers like me, the selection is fairly limited.Just a fun place befitting of Northfield. Great meeting spot on Division (main) Street!

This is my favorite place in Northfield by far. The food and drinks are superb and the friendly atmosphere makes it a wonderful place to grab a coffee and stay to read or work. Can't recommend enough.

If you want peace and quiet, don't sit in the back, as it's basically the supply room for the kitchen and you won't get a quiet place to work. Not much of a hideaway back there.

Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly. The drinks were delicious. The space was inviting.I ordered an iced matcha oat milk and my partner a nonalcoholic lemonade cocktail (without the sake.) Both were made just right. Others in our group had coffee and smoothies. All enjoyed.
