We headed to this brewery for a Puzzle Contest. Sarah Does Puzzles was hosting a Saturday afternoon event. The brewery was very accommodating. Our teams of four took up most of the tables but bar, rail and outdoor seating was available for non-contest participants. Staff was helpful in choosing beers and offering tastes. I chose an IPA which was smooth and hoppy. The openness of the brewery and exposed vats seemed to energize the area. Good lighting for puzzling. Had a great time!

Heavy Rotation hosts an open mic for local artists that's well worth checking out! It was middle of Sunday afternoon so there was no food, but the menu looked great. The beer menu is complete too, something for everyone. The service is friendly and attentive even in the middle of the open mic event. It's a nice place with a modern look, great space to meet friends, and easy to find a close parking spot. I'd strongly recommend giving it a chance!

True to their name, the high volume and variety of taps sets this group apart. Their focus is on offering a new line up of taps multiple times a month. This is a great place to visit once but will reward to repeat patron. I spoke with one of the owners for a while before meeting one of my clients. What a cool and down to earth dude. If that's the caliber of of one owner, I can only assume the others are good dudes. Thanks for the great conversation and the great beer. Kudos for the "B.P. Pale Ale" - a great afternoon hazy to cap the day.

Nice open brewery with lots of events and regular food trucks. The bar tenders were very helpful and didn't mind me asking 100 questions or getting a taste of something. They've got a nice sized patio that allows dogs. No pups inside, though. The beer was all pretty good. One of the better Vienna lagers around but not much worth driving 30 minutes for when there are closer options to the cities. If I lived in the northern exburbs I'd be here pretty often.

The location of this brewery is perfect! Just North of Highway 610 in a growing part of the community. The patio is spacious and dog friendly. The internal space is lofty and large but can get loud easily. The assortment consistently rotates, creating a unique experience every time. Due to its location, there is always plenty of parking. A great addition to this part of town!

A pretty decent brewery with some good options. I came here between a wedding ceremony and reception. My husband enjoyed some of the sours and I appreciated that there were non-alcoholic options.

First impressions: clean, quiet, easy to find. Not a of games actually. In fact there's one pinball machine, but, there's trivia on Thursdays at 7. Beer impressions: Vacationer: it's good. It's actually really good. Good thing it comes in a 10 oz because it's fairly thickBP Pale: can't say I'm a huge fan to be honest. Probably because it's 45 ibu, but if you're into IPAs you'll enjoy it. Hype Man: my buddy said it tastes like a basement. Claims that's some sort of code for beer reviews. But honestly, this is amazing beer. It's well bodied, not hoppy, and speaks a ton to the brewer masters skill when you can put this and the two listed above on the same menu. Honestly the worst part about this place is their barstools. Maybe it's just my thick thighs but I was sliding right off those bad boys and had to move to a regular table. Awesome beer though, definitely will be back.

There is a new brewery in Brooklyn Park and they are out the gates swinging! This craft brewery is a WELCOMED addition to the neighborhood. At first I wasn't sure what to expect as far as beer selection with a relatively small brewing system but they are cranking out a huge variety of beers in the somewhat small, yet open space featuring some music themed art and an arcade game. There is also a solid outdoor space. I tried a few different beers on my first visit. My favorites being the "Tasty Waves" West Coast IPA and "Snack Pack" Pasty Stout.

While in the area, I stopped by the newest brewery in Brooklyn Park, @heavyrotationbrewing. They are a nano brewery with a 3.5bbl system. Their beer menu was split into categories of Something Hoppy, Something Different, Easy Going, Dark/Roasty, and Hard Water. I chose to go with a flight of four of their beers to cover four of the categories (didn't give their Hard Water a shot). Took me a while to pick from their Something Different as it contained many mix-ups on traditional styles, but liked the choices I made.Buzzcut Season:A DDH Hazy IPA using 100 percent NZ hops. Floral and citrusy with notes of melon, apricot, and grapefruit. A thicker mouthfeel, but still smooth. Even with such intense tropical fruit flavors it is not overly sweet and is well balanced with bitterness. The Get Up:A Coffee Golden Ale with Get Down Coffee and Toasted Coconut added. Pleasant roasty bitterness from the coffee that reminds me of a blonde roast coffee. However, the bitterness is not overwhelming and doesn't overpower the toasted coconut that comes through on both aroma and the finish. My favorite of the four beers!Farmer Frank's:A classic Cream Ale. Very low hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness as is to be expected. Low sweet corn flavor, and a doughy malt aroma. A lawn mower beer that begs for summer weather.Snack Pack:A Pastry Stout with Raspberry and Vanilla. Mildly malty with heavy sweetness from the vanilla and raspberry. Very reminiscent of a semi-sweet chocolate covered raspberry. Great for dessert, and would love to see how it would taste being paired with chocolates or used to bake a dessert (raspberry brownie or pudding anyone!?!?!).
